There will be another posted here shortly, we got a page at 1:30am last night. One deceased and others injured. Please quit drinking and riding. Alcohol was a factor in this accident. That is all I can post for now.

Very unfortunate to hear.

Please quit drinking and riding.

Couldn't agree more. In our trip up a couple weeks ago, our queue to start heading back to the resort was the guy who was ordering double vodka and tonics. Just not worth it at that point and that was mid afternoon.

See it all the time at lunch time tray of shots at the bar larger groups doing shots. We ask where you guys riding?... then ride in opposite direction....works good for us.

The flowage can certainly me a dangerous place at that hour even for those of us who know it well. Two weeks ago I hit a sand bar that had popped up right on the sticks in broad daylight perfectly sober. Fortunately I saw it at the last minute so I could grab on tight otherwise it would have thrown me off.

The accident did not happen on the flowage. It was on the trail.

snowmobiling, with all considered is the least fatal of all motor sports per mile. but some need to keep dwelling on death for some reason....I'm heading over to the Smiles forum for awhile.

This whole thread is painfully pathetic, depraved and sick..

Grim Reaper here! ;)

Wisconsin is up to 9 with a death over the weekend on Lake Namakagon near Cable. Friend told me about it.....happened after the Big Weenie Roast. Guy was doing 100+ across the lake and T-boned a trailer being pulled off the ice. It was not a pretty sight I guess.

no one knows how fast he was going . the truck was parked no one was in it . it was not a t bone it was a side sort of deal .
he was moving out for sure . from what I was told his goggles were fogging before last stop from falling in wet snow? not a excuse just a possibility.
he did hit a black 2500 chev so hard it knocked the wheel off by looks of picks he hit the wheel at like a 20 or 30deg angel .
the guys got to lakewoods and he was not there. they thought he went back to cabin so they went in short time latter a ice fisher came in and said there was a body on the ice .
yeah I knew the guy sad deal. and BTW all in his party passed the breathalyzer soon after law enforcement got there and they were not kids all 50+ yrs old dave I think was 52 or 53

1 not yet reported. sadly another guy from my area was with some guys I hang with from time to time he was chit face wasted so his buds got him on the back of his buds sled they got him to the cabin about 1/4 mi from bar. put him on the couch and went back to bar took belt off so drag sled would not disappear.
well the guy get up and walks back to the bar a few hrs latter steels a belt from a sled by his hot wires his sled and goes for a drunken trail ride .
well som people come up on a smashed sled in to a tree and a guy out cold in the snow.
he is still in icu and has not woke up yet .
if u see in the picks vI posted in a dif thread we did not stay on any trail in that area all weekend.
