QUOTE=scoot;458605]A dining experience from a different time, when things weren't rushed. Not just a meal for sustenance. Carousels filled with fresh relishes and homemade dressings brought to your table. Choice of soup or salad without having to ask for it yourself. A huge basket filled with warm freshly baked bread, bread sticks and different types and flavors of crackers. A tennis ball sized scoop of butter, (or horseradish butter) for the bread or your baked potato. A huge steak cooked like you would cook it yourself, not rushed to get you in and out the door as fast as possible. A meal experience you'll remember longer than the ride to get there. If you have all of these, you might be eating at a Supper Club. Can you tell I loves me some Northwoods Supper Clubs? :encouragement:[/QUOTE]

I like Norwood Pines in Minocqua, 4 seasons on big Arbor Vitae is pretty good. Blink Bonnie is pretty famous for their steaks served sizzling on a cast iron plate. You can ride to all of them.

McGreggor's Blink Bonnies just a couple miles west of St. Germain. This is our must go-to when entertaining guests. The very best steaks in the northwoods. No reservations, so expect to have a cocktail or 2 before dinner.

Pine Lodge has great steaks at an affordable price. I also hear the Little Bohemia near Manitowish Waters has great steaks. You can also get a little history on John Dillinger there.

I think Pine Lake Lodge is your place, busy so call for a reservation or go early. It is right off the trail in Oma "about" half way between Hurley and Mercer where the lake-effect snow begins dwindling as you go south.
FYI; the place is also for sale.
