My wife is looking at getting a new snowmobile jacket and bib this year and I am wanting some input on brands for warmth and comfort. She gets cold easily but loves the sport!!! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks

My wife is the same way, she turns her heated mattress on in the summer!!! Not sure on how much your looking to spend? but we took a chance on Klim last year, and she absolutely loves both the pant and jacket!

It's going to be about more than just the jacket and bibs. Of course going with something like Klim, Motorfist or FXR will be a big help. Make sure that the layers she uses are correct. Merino Wool base layers are excellent for warmth as they will keep the perspiration away from your skin moving them out the the next layer of clothing. Follow the base layer with a good quality fleece mid layer followed by a good jacket and you are taking the best step you can to keep her happy! Also keep in mind that some of the most expensive offerings are not insulated and designed for the active mountain style riders! Be sure you are getting her something insulated!

This would be a great option: https://www.fxrracing.com/product/adrenaline-jacket?color=7870

My wife has worn Klim Allure inusulated Bibs & Jacket for the last 3 years. She has no complaints. Whatever brand you choose, make sure and get her a bib with the best drop seat design. Check the quality of the zippers and how easily it is to zip her bottom back up. On a cold day when you have to go on the trail. It's a big plus when the women don't have to take their jackets off to pull down their bibs.

Ezra- did you choose these gloves over the Klim Elite? Last year after so many powder days, came the cold *** ride back to camp. The wife and I are looking for some end of the day warm gloves too.

I don't have a set of Elite. but I do own several pr of high end motor fist/are u outside /klim /u get the drift. I tried them on at a dealer show last yr. on more than 1 occasion last yr I was kicking my self for not buying them when my fingers were numb trying to drive home with hands made in to a fist.
there were a few days I was wishing I had one of those Milwaukee or dewalt heated sweat shirts or jackets on.

I've tested a few of those heated coats. I think the Milwaukee sweat shirt is the best set up. You can also charge phones ,Go pros ect with the batt pack. The down side to all of them is a cold battery won't turn the heat on. When the battery's are 10deg or less they have less power and don't last. Less than -5, they don't work at all. You have to find a warm place to store extra battery's. I have the Bosch. The batt pack is in the front. Most others are in the back. Pain to change the battery and if you jump in your truck or any chair, the battery digs in your back.

This year I am packing more layers, extra goggles(not just lenses) and the warmest gloves on the market. I suspect leather or heated gloves will be a popular item snowmobilers will purchase this year.

have u looked in to sled diva stuff? I made the mistake of leaving a new catalog in a pile and it cost me a new coat for the war department.
I did look the suff over at a show and it is well made and designed for just for women.
and I always here from my wife it is always better to look good than feel good. then a few hours latter the bitching starts about sore feet and what not lol.
I am really thinking the back up/wife sled needs a heated seat that would keep the pie hole shut for a few extra hours

After trying some cheaper gear my wife now loves Klim. She does have a slednecks jacket for everyday but still prefers Klim. My wife wears sweatshirts in July! She's always cold. House is always 72 or hotter in the house. Sure am glad I heat with wood.

The most important thing with the cold ride at the end of the day back home is that you put on a dry fresh pair of gloves before you take off. Even the most expensive gloves out there won't keep you 100% dry if you're out playing in the woods all day.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I just need to take her to get sized up and go from there. I have been looking at the Sled Diva line and Klim and really like their product line. We'll see what she likes and go from there. She doesn't mind layering up so that's a plus!!!

Ive not yet had the chance to try Diva gear, but I wear FXR and Motorfist. Both are great products and each has a pro and con to the other. FXR has some this year that has 8,000g/20,000 inslulation vs most of the 2000/2000g stuff. FXR also has many sizing options (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc) vs just S, M, L, XL. Found that as a lil bonus to finding gear that fits just right. None the less no matter what you go with, make sure she wears the right layers. As mentioned above, that is the key to success. I wear an underarmour long sleeve as a baselayer, and then follow that with a fleece or polyester fleece type mid layer. NO COTTON. Most times I am warm enough to not even wear the liner of my jacket. Good luck. Happy wife = happy life ;)

my wife wears the Klim Allure outer shell with the Klim fleece under liner. Looks like they call it the sundance shirt now. also the allure bibs. with a classic turtleneck shirt over long underwear (like the solstice shirt on klim's website). We rode last year as cold as zero and she was fine while riding. Got a little cold on breaks however. She's also one of those women who gets cold easy and I will say she's always nice and warm. Almost forgot...she does wear the Divas tek Vest too!

The large windshield of the Yamaha Venture helps too. None of that gear has the flap for when nature calls. She won't go while on the trial anyway!!!
