-14 was our high at the airport in Appleton, Wisconsin today and our Wind Chill bottomed out at -51 about 3:30. I'm a fan of winter but I haven't felt cold like that in a long time. So cold that the Brass Monkeys packed up and went home.

Honestly if it wasn't for the wind, I woulda never had thought that the air temp was -15*F here as I just got home from spending all night outside at work.

Agreed when I got to work yesterday it was -16 and today -19. When i was outside at our shop out of the wind, i did not think it felt any colder then when it was 0 a couple days ago? But I bet when it his 35 this weekend we will be out in T-shirts!

-25 for us this morning, same as yesterday -19 right now. Our high yesterday was -16 around 1pm and by 3pm we were down to -20. Keeping the fire going and catching up on paperwork again today

Thank goodness I have the best Mr. Maintenance Man! All cabins are warm and toasty :)

also try a 2 liter of pop set it out until it is real cold but still for the most part liquid then bring in the house set in sink and open the top it will freeze from top down in less than 10 sec with the introduction of oxygen

Nothing to do with oxygen. Everything to do with pressure change when you open the bottle. Releasing the pressure cools the pop. Same thing happens to propane tanks when they empty. The pop is just close enough to the freezing point that the cooling freezes it instantly. All about thermodynamics.

I did the boiling water thing here last Thursday when it was -38 out. Might as well get some entertainment out of the cold I figured.

It's been cold, but no complaints here. I only complain when it's hot out, this cold I can handle.
