Come on guys my sled is faster that yours with this & that mod?? YAWN... not why I started this thread lets get closer to the topic. I'm surprised of the legs of this thread thought it would come & go quickly but seems to have touched a lot of you.
No one said which sled is faster.....was clearing the air that the 1200 and 800 e tecs or any stock 4 stroke aren't on the same level in terms of drag racing besides may be the z1 cat or whatever the name of it is with the factory turbo. Ur thread got a lot more action than anyone expected....if it stayed on topic it woulda ended already
I guess we will never know...as I got rid of my attak...I never raced an etec 800...Ptek 800 was no match...from 80 mph on I walked away...everytime...keep in mind I was clutched (ulmer stage II)
I can only go on what I saw with my own eyes mo money...and what you're saying is not jiving with what I saw..the 1200s with pipe muffler, clutching, and fuel controller were beating up on the 800 etecs I saw.
I was impressed....don't know the year of the etec's...mxzs all look the same to me...that yellow hurts my eye
But whitedust is right...internet , keyboard racers suck...so I digress....I'm not into lake racing anymore...did enough of it...was just trying to relay what I saw.
My main point was that Four strokes (of any brand) are not the heavy slow POS that 2 stroke fans tend to harp about...they actually go damn good

Yeah the 4-strokes have come a long way no doubt about it. I can say the same about every attak ive ever raced even with the 800Ptek so who cares. gota compare apples to apples...you said piped 1200's wipe 800 e-tecs. We have a bunch of each in the group and that statement was completely false. Maybe in certain conditions that is possible. Pending on track length paddle differences. My 440 will prolly beat my 800 e-tec in deep snow so that doesnt say much. So was clearing that up, thats it. I was never saying my sled is faster than yours and i am by no means an internet racer. But we do some racing on lake nokomis from time to time would love to run ya and have a beer after.

I would except...I have my cat now (F-1000 LXR)....I only have about 100 miles on it so far...still getting used to it...it's not as fast as my attak...but that's not why I bought it...it's the most comfortable sled I have been on..love the seating position...the seat...the bars....the ride...very comfy.
Sometimes you get a good one, that just runs...my attak drove one guy in town crazy..he had an apex...with a hauck clutch kit...studded to the hilt...and I would smoke him...top to bottom...just pull away...he used to get soooooo mad...he would go home and clutch and reclutch...just to try and beat me....I am sure his wife probably hates me tooo....lol My Attak...had the motor....but she was a beast when you got her stuck...not a ditch sled....I am mainly on trails now...a few ditches, and forest roads...the attak wasn't easy to throw around on tight wooded trails either (aggressive carbides with curve ski's)...this cat feels soo muxch lighter...it has a 1.3 cobra on it..so it should be ok in loose snow....we will see

Yea I know what u mean by getting a 'lucky' sled....have had identical sleds identical clutching gearing and one is still faster by more than normal....it can drive a normal person crazy...hope to see ya out there. when you see a pile of doo's with a 1200 thats a little louder than stock with a boost gauge u will kno its us.
