Any reports on the Yami S/W??? Come on guys, we want to hear some reports!!! How they ride, handling, MPG, ride feel??? I realize there was a A/C 9000 thread, but it went dead. I would like to hear about the different clutching between the A/C, and the Yami. How's the Yami roller secondary perform???

The race to the end of the year has begun..

With no snow south of the MI border "again" I hope it doesn't end in a blood bath for owners like last year. Last year, Dealers (at the mandate of Manufacturers) were selling new 16' sleds for less than what us 16' pre-orders locked in for price the previous March/April.

Well I felt the sting when the AXYS 800' s were liquidated in late January 2015....
But by then I had 3000 miles on mine and they didn't. ...LOL..This seems awful early to be knocking 20% + off.....got me thinking.

I got a smoking deal on my 16 m8000 limited in January 16, and it included a factory 4 year warranty.

Cats are free to good homes around here....but in fairness....just saw a left over 12 Apex for 8K.

Buddy says his new SW rolls through 90 with ease....snow is gone in S. WI, and work keeps him from riding it more and hitting the 110+ gps capabilities .

Ah, the age old Business dilemma; hold and hopefully sell next winter or sell at a loss now and reinvest the money to make money tomorrow.

I checked out a few other Yam dealerships to see if they also have a side winder disc. In place. These discounts usually stem from factory rebates, etc.
Not seeing it though.

Sidewinders are selling well so no rebates yet. They do have a free 2nd yr. of warranty or a 5 yr. upgrade for $280 dollars. I've sold a lot of Sidewinders and I've had other dealers call me for them so that tells me it's been selling very well all over. I get the wait it out and save money thing but wouldn't most people rather be riding? Just my humble opinion and there will always be non currents out there. The manny's have the customer trained to buy noncurrents. In the past dealers use to hate noncurrents and so did the customers, not everyone wants them! It's funny how things change and I'm sure the rising costs of the units have had a major impact on that.

FWIW - and I know this has been covered, took my buddies mtx sidewinder for a good ride yesterday. All I can say is wow. I have been on the AC 1100 turbos, the etecs (haven't been on the new 850 yet tho), and the other sleds - and really no comparison. There is zero turbo lag, and simply pulls hard all the way to 90 mph. It reminds me of the APEX, but less weight and smoother. Quiet too - even when WOT, just hums. This machine does well in the powder as well. I see one of these in my future. Just can't swing the $15K right now.

I agree with the cost of the units. I used to spring order all my sleds, but with price going up every year and lack of snow in my neck of the woods getting really hard to swallow 13-15K for 3 trips up north and a weekend down here. If I can hold out and find a mid winter sale and save 2-3K plus get an extra year or 2 of warranty it works out better, or i just keep riding what I have as I like it and its been good to me.

Dealers are starting to deal on the sleds. I just bought the 2017 ZR 9000 with the new yami engine.
Pick it up tomorrow.

Kip, nice little piece you did in the new Sno-goer. I have a2006 attack, and I like it a lot. I don"t have many miles on it.. Hoping to get up by Sandy and Richard this year. If I do I will make a point of stopping in. Glad you had your Demo-ride mishap taken care of.. I was just about to tell ya.. I had a guy!! Thanks for adding a little more resale to my sled:)

Weird cuz I thought the SW had way too much lag on the bottom end... On the upper end it wasn't noticeable so maybe it was the demo setup??? On the twisty trails seemed like I was trying to force it to steer thru the corners...

Ditto on the article! I saved that one in fact. I am basically that guy, I bought my used 2007 Attak GT from Kip 3 seasons ago. It has high miles but was really taken care of well by one of Kip's good customers. Love the sled and their service and backing is second to none.

Jakester, lol! Glad to help any time and shed light when I can. Yamadooed, don't know what you rode, maybe a clamp came off of the intake tube for something but they have no lag. Stop by for a ride here, it rocks:)

kip....you see this? try this on one sled and keep track of it what people say.....put dual 4 inch side by side not staggered wear bars on it....lower the track via the limiters so that it lays flat...lengthening the limiter....letting it out...what ever you wanna call it....the track HAS to be flat....not up a tad like everyone does it.....no planning like a boat hull.....put the adjusters in back on high....and DO NOT add studs.....soften front suspension a tad if its set on stiff....now ride it.....you will see NO PUSH....the lag is another thing that's clutch related....just do that first....you will receive nothing but accolades and they wont know how you did it since they always set em up opposite of this.....then in 2 months....PM me with results....plus....ride it yourself this way....night and day difference just like the day we all discovered that DUAL SIDE BY SIDEs out perform all other wear bars hands down and make it steer like butter.....my 2c
