Rudolph is 6 inches taller than the defender and Rudolph had to reach up for it. There was no way the defender would have ever caught it. Plus it was still third down. At best the down would have been replayed. There would have been a chance the vikes would have still converted to a TD. At worst they would have gotten 3. Then NO would have had to tie. Too many ifs. Brees was outplayed and Payton was outcoached. By Zimmer of all people. Makes no difference anyway. NFC will be represented by niners or Seattle. Which was obvious 2 months ago if anyone would have been paying attention.
The NFL feels bad about screwing the Saints over last year so they will fix it so the Saints get to win the NFC. Then they will go on to get killed by the new Golden boy in Baltimore. It is all predictable. Best storylines. Most money. Best ratings. Duh. Guppies.
Really? Did you forget your post in December. Who will it be tomorrow? LOL

How ironic that the replay rule for pass interference was explicitly put in because of the Saints getting screwed in last year’s playoff game and they couldn’t even review that clear pass interference by Rudoloph. If the defense back would of stuck his arm out and pushed off and caught that ball it would’ve clearly been pass interference 10 out of 10 times. ,,, how it’s not called on the offense is just so infuriating. Then to make a new rule that you can review pass interference and not even review that play is mine boggling.

Good for Kirk He dropped some dimes and that overtime

I would agree with the PI, but they have let that kind of play go on ALL SEASON without calling it. MANY WR's/TE's have gotten away with "getting some separation" to catch a pass this year, and they let almost all stand without a penalty.

Agree also, didn’t see this one coming. McCarthy must be a pure “yes” man to be hired by jerry Jones.

from ProFootballTalk;

It’s now officially the playoffs.

The Packers are expecting so much snow that they’re asking for people to help shovel it.

According to Benita Mathew of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the team has put out the call for 700 volunteers to shovel out Lambeau Field beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday.

Because it’s Green Bay, and, you know, winter, they’re expecting 8 to 10 inches of snow through Sunday, in advance of their divisional round game against the Seahawks.

If you’re into that kind of thing, it’s a good deal, because they’ll pay you $12 an hour, and pay you as soon as you finish (which makes it nearly the only guaranteed money in the NFL).

Can I bring in my own bottled water or do I have to pay $6.00 for it?....LOL

Get that snow cleared because the family and I will be there for the game. First Packer game for my daughter and first playoff game for any of us. Looking forward to it.

Travel safely Elf and welcome to Green Bay. If you get here on Saturday consider the Hall of Fame or a Stadium tour. I'm sure your daughter would enjoy either.

Have fun Elf. I didn't buy the playoff package this year and regret it. Nothing like playoff football at Lambeau!

Its funny as y wife saw yesterday that Seattle was returning tickets so she went on to the Packers Webpage and got us tickets at face value. I've never paid face value before!

Unfortunately we won't be coming til Sunday. My daughter and I are headed to the cabin tonight to snowmobile tomorrow as she hasn't even been out this year yet and we have to take her back to UW next weekend to start school again. But she has been to the HOF there before, we did a summer trip there once and went to a family night once.

Shoveling someone else's snow at 6 o'clock on a Sunday morning doesn't move the needle on my Fun Meter. I've got my own snow to move and I hope it's a lot! Besides, I doubt I could keep up with Snobuilder. With a name like that he probably has his own Laser Guided Teflon shovel, the fancy kind they only sell to professionals.:snowman:
