Your choice of eats for riding......

Brad you have to remember this is when we plan being in areas where we don't want to stop for 1 reason or another & for me pay at pump is only way to go. I don't spend much time in the gassing process & try to make room for the next sled. You can't go wrong with Snickers bars but jerky & beef sticks come from home at least with me & I never leave them in my bag. Drinks also have to be preplanned or will freeze in bags. Just saying no big market for this stuff most plan lunch stops to eat & rest butts.:)

Thanks for the feedback all of you.

Hey tomx.....................exactly what I'm aiming at. I'm evaluating the purchase of a "local business" and my goal would be to have those things mentioned on this thread (within reason) available. Obviously you can't please all the people all the time, but I just wanted to get a bit of a handle on this as I do my due diligence.

We look for this kind of food when out riding...don't like to stop and sit for long until the end of the day. Plus nice to eat quickly and not have to deal with getting gear off, etc., waiting for a table, ordering, etc. Before you know it, you've been off the trail for 90 minutes. Pizza by the slice is an excellent idea. Not sure if others go this route, but I'm a big fan of it.

Sometimes when I gas up I'll get a c-store burger, pizza slice or something if I don't want to waste time in a bar or eatery. While its not the tastiest stuff, I'm only about filling the void until I get some good miles on. I'm not big on muffpots and I don't carry a backpack out trail riding.

Good pasties are always awesome and will stop and sit down for one anytime. Pasty and a tall glass of milk.....mmmmm

Dublin jerky, pretzel rods, hot dogs on the suntanner rollers, sub sandwiches all the stuff the gas station should carry next to the Amsoil rack! Parchment paper and oven bags for the Hot dogger and muff pot crowd. I still like lasagna trail side!

Gas station sell cheap bad tasting pizza's.
I owned a pizza company for over 15 years and cann't believe some of the pizza that's out there.

I like a big Hot Dog from the Hot Dog stand north of Seney.
It will be open again this winter from what I read on a web site.
