In answering the above thread...
We hooked up with people that had a cabin at pelican lake 20 miles south of Rhinelander, went north to eagle river area
1 day, south to pickerel lake area 1 day, west to tomahawk 1 day, last time in Rhinelander was in 2004. I'm sure lots
have changed since then. I remember a place called boiling springs in pelican lake area that had sleeping rooms upstairs
for like $13.00 per nite and the owner played some homemade contraption with a big wash bucket upside down & a
bar with a thick string which he would bend and play it kinda like a standup bass.
As far as where I go now...staying in mass city the last few years. You can go in all direstions from there...copper harbor, porcupine mountains,
sidnaw, lake goebic area now all we need is a good dousing of the magic white fairy dust
