Sled exhaust VS Harley exhaust

It seems 1/2 bikes out there are louder than heck, the minority is the same size as the majority. That is the problem. We never said they are bad people.

Indy, Snowdance is right. Trust me, I don't want to hear your 600 with an after market can ....nobody does.

SLP does go quite when you let off, had one on the 755 and DNR along with the cops never bothered me. Lol they must of thought it was a Harley.

Yeah, just looking for something other than the electric sounding stock can on these sleds dont want something crazy as I want the motor to last a long time.

Just throwing my 2 cents into this ring I guess. I have been riding motorcycles for about 35 years and have owned and ridden most types. Rode a 1986 shadow to Ft. Lewis WA from the UP, Highway 2 all the way out. I now ride a Harley and have put over a 100,000 miles on a few before I traded them in. Yes a Harley with over a 100,000 miles on it without touching it other then plugs and oil and other wear parts. I do not have loud exhaust on my Harley but I have had it on a few of them. I can tell you honestly that when you are riding a quiet 1100 shadow cars merge on top of you, come into your lane etc, when you have a bike with something someone can hear it does not happen. It is safer and that is a fact from someone that has close to a half million highway miles. I tour the country and I just do not want to have issues with people and I want to be respectful in the campgrounds I pull into so I choose to not run loud pipes. I just got the wife her first Harley this summer and the pipes rumble on hers and I did it because I worry about her being on the road to work and back. I did this because I know in my heart that it is safer for her to be heard by others on the road. It is not so loud you cant stand it but you can hear it. I do not want to argue with anyone or tell anyone that they are wrong, I am just stating what I believe to be the truth. Hope that helps.

IMO it seems like 1/2 because those are the ones you notice and it sticks out in your mind. Think of how many possibly go by un-noticed. Yes, lots have louder pipes, but I think the majority have respect. It's the Minority that stick out in your head, because they are obnoxious and ruin it for everyone. Just like Ricky racer and his Mohawk helmet that shoots a roost while passing you on a not so safe to pass area on the trail. I catch a glimpse of that Arctic Cat green and I immediately make the conclusion that all Arctic Cat riders are idiots. I know this isn't the case, but I hope you get my point.

I love aaen pipes. I still have a 1010 zr with spray and a set of aaens no can straight out the pan.
one of those things with all the money in it I can never sell. just take it out on the shaved ice once every yr or so and spend 100bucks on on some c116 and try not to flip it over off the line

Just looked at a bike that is my dream bike, well maybe I'm living in my past. KZ1000,stock,except for a Kirker header. I came close to making an offer, but it sold over the phone while I was standing there.

A bitch session about loud bikes ?! This is what the off sled season has come down to. Many snowmobilers also motorcycles and now brand bashing those too. Ridiculous

I used to live near a stop sign on a long country road, needless to say my windows would shake most of the summer as down the road was the lone watering hole for miles around. I would never complain though as that would put me at hypocrite status. I know my Duramax whistles pretty loud in the name of making all that torque. ha ha
