This whole project is getting kinda expensive. Eye exam and new transitional no line byfocals with sracth resistant coating in same frames....... $569.00. No not some walmart grade outfit. a real eye doctor. And a presciption for the goggle inserts. Now to order them. decided to go with the 888 rxgoggles for the reason of they can quickly be moved from goggles to goggles which I already own and know they work with my helmet. Otherwise the Pro-vue would of been my choice. Contacts were totally out of the question. just typing this makes my eyes water.

Wife had that done, spent a couple thousand on it, she is back wearing glasses. But she says it was worth it. My eyes are not very bad at all, but I do need to see very well for my work. I am amazed at how many of my friends are in denial when it comes to hearing or eye site. We only get one pair of eyes. Besides I was due for an eye exam anyways. New glasses in 7-10 days.

Wayne, how much did the inserts cost from 888?

$149.00 includes shpping. next pair if I want them will be $109.00 They are easy to move from goggle to goggle. I already own 2 pair of Scott 89 Xi turbo goggles that I really like with the fly helmet. They have lifetime warranty on lenses.

Cool, thanks. I may give them a try, I see they have some that fit the 509 sinister, and I think the new x5 sinisters.

I talked to the owner and he said they buy every goggle that comes out to see what the lense frames they have fit or if they need to design a new frame. My eye doctor said he felt they are a good company (had him check it out) to deal with and the price is good.

I have a $90 HJC helmet. Came with full face mask. I never tried the whole goggle thing. Might have to one of these years.

Hoosier, I have a couple big dollar modulars if you want a real full face helmet. I will let the BRP snorkel one go.

Lenses showed up today for goggles. I don't have goggles at home but wandering around holding them up by my eyes. Wife just laughs and goes into the other room. I suspect these will do the trick. Will torture test this winter and give full report.

Oh man! since my Scott 89Xi goggles have been discontinued replacement lenses are getting scarce. Found a shop in the Rockies (online) blowing out the remainder of them. (I ordered 4 pair with speed straps for the price of replacement lenses). Oh, Skylar the glasses fit right in real well but got some scratches in old lenses that are amplified with the prescription lenses, in the goggles.
