Or who is better (worse) this year, the Vikings or the Packers? Green Bay is finding out what MN has known for a few seasons, you can't win without a good quarterback. You get spoiled with 20 years of either Favre or Rogers!

But last night I got a new laptop and I was forced into windows 8. (had XP since 2001). Office manager wants me off this computer so so somebody can actual work around here.
So I snuck in here on the XP this morning.
Darn Windows 8 is like my cell phone. I got netflix, wikipedia and facebook to work perfectly on the new machine.
Question is, how is windows 8 for actual work. I got to buy a new version of Quickbooks Pro I see.

In my experience so far, it sucks big time. A major mistake for the business world for Microsoft. A great platform for tablets and smartphones, but most folks use a computer for true business stuff and Win 8 stinks for that. Look for some 3rd party software that will make it more like XP and I hear you will be happier. I had my latest machines all built with XP on them. Feel like hoarding some extra copies for future machines until they get a more production-friendly OS, but hear it is getting hard to find XP out there.

That's what I have been told. All the reviews are complaints on windows 8. I do have a source for an XP copy. Picked up a very nice Toshiba lap top at midnight at Staples. (line went fast). I will have to eat crow and take it to the guy who built me this machine.
Windows 8 is kinda like Obamacare! don't want it must take it.

I heard Vista sucks too! guess I can get a free downgrade to 7. Shoot never thought about the software compatibility for my "newer" printer.

There was very little proof of that prior to the incident, and they interviewed everyone, but there has been since. I can't help but think the trauma he went through has something to do with it.
