So ive had a few different pair over the years. Just wondering what brand and color lens work best. Ive been told a few times to get a red/rose or blueish lens that it helps show the terrain better? Fogging up always seems to be an issue with me also. maybe because im so out of shape i sweat like a pig and pant like a dog.

For me, yellow lens on cloudy days works best, actually I use the yellow all the time.

Agreed. I use a yellow all the time. I wear 509 Aviators. The are not cheap but they seal the best against my face. As for fogging, I use a baklava with a breath box in addition to the one in my helmet. By doing this it seems to really help with the fog ups.

I've had my 100% Racecraft goggles for close to a year and they have yet to fog up. Trail or off-trail, -5 to 65 degrees, from no face mask to multiple different different face masks, never a problem.

Scott Xi with transitional lens. Blue tint in sun lite back to clear at night. goggles have breath deflector built in. I also use the quick straps and unstrap em when stopped or at low speeds to combat fogging.

X2. Also use amber lenses with flat light conditions.

my 509 are polarized dark tint I use them on sunny have some yellowish orange on the liquid image Use them the most when playing more for the cam than seal around face or definition .
always have a clear set in the goggle holder under the hood.
best part of old school
m is the steering post and 2nd is the goggle holder .so nice to have a warm fresh set with at all times.
I think of all I have owned over the yrs the 509 polarized have the best definition.

and balaclava (hopefully what you meant) → balaclava.jpg

I have never worn a sweet, flaky pastry on my face to stop my goggles from fogging, but then again, I have never snowmobiled in Texas? hehehehe! Anyway, I use Scott amber lenses and a No-fog under my HJC open face. Amber lenses seem to work well in all conditions but I also carry a clear set for nighttime riding just in case there is low visibility?

I switched to 509 goggles and lenses this year and was very impressed with their performance. So impressed I went and bought another pair for night riding. I have the whiteout lens which is polarized, kind of like the black ops what Indy has (didn't want to be darth vader). I highly recommend a polarized lens for sunny days and high definition clarity of terrain. I had Smith and Thor goggles before 509.

For a no fog experience, you want to look for a lens that has dual panes with an air space in between the two lenses like the 509 lens has. I have yet to experience the 509's fog up on me and I have ridden in some pretty rediculous temps this year at -20.
