don't you just love it when 2 trucks that are governed at 65 are passing each other on a 2 lane and it becomes a 14 mile snail race?

it used to piss me off when a 4 wheeler would cut off a semi when it put on its blinker to start a pass.....not anymore....eff them idiots....if it takes you more than a mile to pass what the he.ll do you need to pass for?....a 1/4mile an hour?

u just don't get it . must be because u don't drive for a living lol.
better question why would some one govern a truck to 65 if the limit was 75 in there state?
IMHO as some one who spends a lot of time driving in the city the f ing bus drivers are the biggest ****** on the road . I do my part to return the courtesy to them at every opportunity.
back in the 80s I never knew I had a psychological disorder . but then they started talking about road rage and it all started to come together .

LOL....Classic ezra ^^^^

I think them orange Schneider logs are stuck at 60 yet!...which is OK with me....the speedy 65ers pass them with ease!

Yeah, cause the natural flow of traffic does 85-90 mph in Illinois and Wisconsin. I know two people that drive trucks that are governed at 65mph I think. It's horrible that people trying to make a living would be possibly slowing down some FIBs trying to get to their play houses.

Wow aren't we grumpy. For the past several months I drive 125 mile daily round trip to NW Indiana. If traffic is free enough to move along most days if I were to set the cruise at 75 I would be run over. And your buddy's with the governed 65 mph trucks sitting in lanes 2 and 3 of 4 cause more traffic trouble than I do. But on the Internet everyone follows all the rules and does things perfect. Trust me I won't miss Illinois. Not from here (Michigan) and will leave as soon as I can.

I've lived half my life in Chicago and half in Wisconsin. While its true flatlanders do drive much more aggressively, I've found cheeseheads tend to escalate into road rage mode much quicker and at the slightest inconvenience. City dwellers tend to choose their battles more carefully. ;)

I like the change a lot Kevin! It's cuts 30 min or more off of my trip to southerns WI or Chicago.

Better start figuring out when you're coming up north dude!

The other type a driver I can't take is the one that comes up on your tail and sits there for miles on end and takes the aero off your trailer to make it swag.....I think I need to put an offensive sticker on the back to shag them off! They probably wouldn't even notice it though?

This is amazing that people do this. On 29 from Elk Mound to Wausau and back this weekend, no less than a half dozen people did this to me in the car. I don't care if you let me lead and pace me, but get off my ***, or out of my blind spot! There's a quarter mile of space in either direction, go sit in one! I don't wait very long at all before I just run it 20mph up to create the space myself, and coast back down to my cruising speed away from them.

no that is when u crank up the break controller and just hammer the the peddle to the floor . then then u can pull in to the next rest area and ask him if he needs any wet wipes

I really get them back. For you and everyone else that hates them. They have to stop for passengers, and when they do an Elgin 3 wheel sweeper blows by them at 19 MPH top speed and it may be miles till they can get around me. And when they do a stop comes up and around them I go again. They get piffed! And when I dump the pedal and the dynamic braking takes effect (hydrostatic drive) boy the cloud of smoke is intense (bad injector pump design). You would think James Bond hit the smoke screen button.

I love the new 70mph speed limit. I'm from IL and have made the trek up to Northern Wisconsin 8 times since it changed. The increase probably has me going 1-3mph faster then previous trips. Now I just put the cruise on 75mph. It saves my 30min on the trip and I'm not worried about seeing state troopers because I can't imagine they are giving tickets for 5 over.

I'm on I-43 Milw-GB every Friday & Sunday, run 78 rarely get passed and yet to be pulled over after being radared...now, north of GB on 141 to Pembine .. that pace has really picked-up since construction ended.

Just one thing to ponder as your hitting the 80-85 mark is that most trailer tires are only rated to 65 mph...

I have thought about speed rating on tires.
can the cops nail u for unsafe equipment if u are say rolling 85 in a 80 with a trailer tire rated for 65 ?
have never has 1 look at tires but I would guess there is something in the books.
a bud moving back back to CA and got a sled deck because trailer speed limit is less than non trailer limit in CA now I guess

What do you boys run for tires? Fleet farm hay wagon tires. Tires should be highway rated to even hit a paved road.

Greenball Towmasters on the snowmachine trailer, Maxxis 8008 on camper, Goodyear marathons on the Boat trailer "sorry no Hay wagons"... Unless you've installed LT tires take a look your STs are only rated at 65 mph...
