The 2017 Polaris lineup? What do you think is needed and what might they do?

The new rear suspension on the switchback looks cool too. Don't know if it's just marketing-speak -

A core element to the new AXYS 144 platform is the all new Ideal Geometry X-Over 144 uncoupled rear suspension, which offers the ultimate blend of durability and strength. The IGX 144 rear suspension provides RMK-inspired off-trail agility and balance with a drastically improved on-trail ride. Pitch is controlled through geometry in this new rear suspension. With 43% more front torque arm travel, this sled features reduced bottoming and less drag off-trail. An all new optimized, lighter, tipped rail beam design gives the sled a nimble feel.

MSRP on the 600 SB SP is $10,900. About $1500 more than the Indy 600 SP. Seems like a good deal. Cobra track.

Anybody know what the difference is between the 2017 600 RMK 144 and the 2017 600 Switchback SP 144? I'm assuming ski stance and track lug height, maybe shocks? They are only $200 different in price and look identical to me, even the colors/graphics look the same.

The RMK has RydeFX shocks along with 2" track, adjustable Gripper skis, and different handlebar & riser.

The SB has FOX shocks, 1.35 Cobra track, Pro-Steer skis, taller windshield.

They are probably also geared differently.

I should add that the 600 SB Assault 144 will get you WE shocks, and your choice of 2" or 1.35" track.

And the 600 Voyageur 144 is basically the 600 RMK with E Start & Tall windshield.

I though when Polaris bought into KTM...we'd see a 4 stroke for sure....hasn't happened...and I'm not sure Polaris's core riders really care that much about a four stroke....The Polaris riders that wanted four strokes jumped ship to ski-doo, Yamaha, and Cat...I don't think they care about 4 strokes.

Looks like the Doo etec 850 durability upgrade is the best new stuff this year. turbo yamacat?...pfffft...rehashed cat 9000....old news.

PFFFFTTTT...if u will...that turbo cat/Yamaha is an impressive piece of engineering...it's not just a motorcycle engine with a hair dryer strapped to it.....and the 850 durability is yet to be proven...its still a two stroke...until I see 10 to 15 thousand miles consistently on these...I won't buy the hype.

Yep Poo not in the 4s biz just like Yamaha not in 2s biz for performance sleds. Poo is capable to jump in with 4s as is Yamaha is with 2s but chooses not to. Doo has the most advanced 2s with 850 which has to force poo & AC to advance as well. Next few years of all engine tech 2s & 4s will get very interesting with the consumer getting the benifit of all the new engines. Who knows what is next? I like it! :)
