Thinking maybe Vikings should trade for Sam Bradford since good to compete for SB this year Eagles rebuilding need to unload Bradford & he could do some good for Vikings. Bradford will cost them but could sweeten pie with draft choices. Good bad what do you think?

While it may be a fit personel wise, I dont see it happening. Eagles plan to sit carson wentz the whole season. They need him this year, plus his contract is too much for next year for vikes to make sense. From what I heard, mark sanchez will be on the Vikings radar.

I think the Vikings GM knows they lost their chances of winning or going to a superbowl this year, dont mortgage the future and get a guy like Bradford who isn't that great and is injury prone as well. they will scoop up a waiver guy like sanchez and see how it goes.

All the QBs that get waived are pretty much all known commodities. They are all basically flawed in some way - that is why they are getting waived. Heineche or whatever his name is was supposed to push Hill for the backup before he had his little incident with the door. I could see Hill starting the first few games and then when Heineche gets healthy plug him in. If they do pick up a Sanchez or whoever they would have to learn the system and would not be ready for the first few games anyway. Can't see Vikes making big expensive trade but I guess we will see. I think they have plenty of cap but they have some guys they are going to have to pay next year. Gotta kind of feel for Zimmer. His first year he loses Peterson and now this.

It's Zimmer's job to win regardless of what injuries happen on/off field. Sanchez nothing but a back up @ 2 or 3. Hill is a pretty good QB not a star but Vikes can get a few wins with him if the team understands the season is in their hands to win no excuses.

Hill is a game manager. either way they are screwed at the QB position.

Bill parcells won a SB after his QB got hurt, he called zimmer and said you gotta figure it out, everyone's eyes are on you.

One thing I heard about teddy, if the onsite trainers didn't set his leg right away, he could of had permanent nerve damage that woulda ended his career. was that bad of injury.

chit coulda lost his leg the way it sounds. Crazy. Didn't even get hit. How can something like that happen with no contact is beyond me...

Yeah I wonder if these players juice up in off season then in season they break down get injured in non contact drills. Almost seems like a high strung 2s peaked HP maxed ...runs great until it doesn't then goes boom. I don't get Grasi & Bridgewater blowing out knees running around during non contact sounds crazy to me unless they are hiding an injury then blow it out at practice. Sure football is a ruff full contact sport & players get injured just part of the game BUT non contact serious knee blowouts ....seems very strange indeed to me. Opinions????

It has nothing to do with that IMO. It just happens. Doing something like a 7 step drop(which is very fast and aggressive movement) and someone behind you not paying attention or something trips u up and boom there goes the knee.

Who knows how it happened exactly, but I don't think it has anything to do with steriods. They have been juicing for a long long time, with stuff that used to be a lot worse.

I think a bigger part is how they practice, pretty much all non-contact no more 2 a days. When the games come around more injuries as the contact in practice is non existent. Watch the 85 bears practice, those guys killed each other in practice and not many ever got hurt, besides the cheap shot McMahon took from the packers lineman.

Supposedly Bridgewater bulked up a little over the summer. A body builder posted somehting that said it is possible to build up muscles to the point that they overpower joints. Joints stay the same but muscles get bigger. Who knows? I know I don't ever want to see the video either. Holes in pistons sometimes make me vomit. No telling what a dislocated knee would do to me.

Knee's can blow at any time, and as Momoney said, with no contact now days, it's meant to avoid injuries, but they aren't conditioned. I was running a pass pattern in my younger days, planted left knee like I had 1000 times to cut right, and boom - big crack and ACL gone. Ran a 4.6 and never got caught from behind - played with fire. Next day it was 2X normal size and football days were over.

To me this makes sense & both Grasu & Bridgewater bulked up in off season both blew out knees in non contact practice.

Comon guys get real. Every NFL player bulks up in the off season lol.

Some do but not all of them blow out knees in non contact drills....to me if you are a pro it is your biz to be in great shape all year long then peak it out for training camp. No rollie pollie Alis that can dig deep and produce when out of shape in the ring or NFL but then again we all saw the price Ali paid in the end.

Wow u were right. Bradford to vikes. Shocked a little by this. Not sure what they had to give up

Wow they gave up next year's 1st round pick and a 4th. Sheesh thats way too much for a 1 year injury prone rent a QB. Or...Maybe they are concerned teddy career is over.

Bradford best fit for Vikings serious run for SB... 1st round hurts a lot but 4th reasonable. Teddy's leg is messed up prolly willing to be #2 until he knows he is back a full strength & then Vikes can dump Bradford if needed. Bradford excellent dink & dunk QB so Vikes will need to adjust some of the long down field passing . Chance for Zimm to show his coaching ability move Bradford in by Game 3-4...I would be very surprised if they started him game 1. Good for Bradford & good for Vikings now Bradford needs to perform & be a hero!

Ya I don't like what the vikes had to give. not to mention the $$'s that come along with the contract. Bradford has played for a couple of the coaches on the vikes and played college ball with AP. AP said hes "pumped" to have Sammy boy on the team. Time will tell. If you look just at the fantasy (which I have never been played) Bradford is the 27th QB..... Not sure how he will be with vikes system. I know he didn't like the eagles system....

Bradford known for quick release and accurate passing you can't teach skill like that you either have it or you don't. How fast Bradford can learn the Vikes system is the question? Joining back up with his old bud AP is a good thing too. I hope it all works out well & good luck to the Vikes this year!

By the time the snow flies vikings fans will have forgotten about Bridgewater. A nice guy that says everything right but never was and will never be an above average nfl qb
. he will be lucky to be able to walk without a limp. As far as returning to the nfl. Forget it.
