Your dashes suck. I don't care what the barometric pressure is or what time it is in Argentina. I would buy a Sidewinder next year if you finally run out of the 2008 dashes you are trying to use up. Polaris is so far ahead of you it isn't even funny anymore. I want a big screen GPS with all the bells and whistles from the factory. Make it a touch screen. It is 2017 !!!!!! Get with the program.

Grub you are correct lots AC/Yamaha could do with their pod and including a GPS. Gps would be nice off trail or at trail forks but I manage ok just riding thru and don't like button pushing in cold weather...BUT I know what you are saying..:)

Please consider improving resale values and dependability too; lets get the past five years of sleds off the floor before we release new models each year.

Thank you, Bear

Great- now I have to worry sledders coming towards me staring at their dash pods instead of the trail ahead of them...

your phone is more advanced than any gauge offered in the stock sled market. but like skylar linked that gauge is the real deal

Of course our phones are advanced. That is the point. If they can cram all that stuff on a cheap phone they could surely slap together a dash with a state of the art GPS. For cheap.

When is the last time you took your phone out and hooked it to your sleds handlebar at -20 and the phone worked????

You cant compare phone tech to sled gauge tech because your sleds gauges are subjected to so many more factors.

How about a projected map on the inside of your face shield helmet? Fighter pilots have this kind of tech. That would be even better. Then it wouldn't matter what color sled you have. It is OLD tech. We are using old military GPS satelites right now. Somebody builds these helmets already for fighter pilots. I want one.

Mr. Grub, do you have any idea how much those helmets cost with the tech built in for fighter pilots. I'd guess in the range of $50,000, if not $100K with the government involved.

I take it out of my pocket look where I am service or not it tells me where I am . just saying really what the gauges need is just a link to a gauge

Then there is another reason to jack up the price of a new sled by a couple of grand! Technology is what has dictated sled pricing, they are already expensive enough. Just my .02.-Mezz

It's a catch 22....I'm sure a "high tech" company like Yamaha could offer up something spectacular (they usually go over board when they do)...but the question becomes...are u willing to pay another $1,000 to $2,000 dollars for that technology?? I'm not sure I am...like somebody else said...I have my phone (with GPS, and maps...etc)..which I rarely use...I'm in no hurry when I go for a ride...many times I've taken a wrong turn, and went where I didn't want to...but ended up on a great ride....I'm not a Point A to point B rider...I just ride because it usually means I'm off work...so if I make a wrong turn and go further than expected...who cares....IMO..more of us need to get away from technology (including putting our phones away) and JUST RIDE.

A GPS would be nice in some situations, but what I would really like to see is just a digital compass (like in cars) and an outside temperature gauge. Neither ojne of these would be too expensive to add in.

OMG really, the only gauge I look at is the fuel gauge. Its funny because Polaris Victory had all that fancy stuff on the Victory and everyone said Harley better wake up and get with the times, so Harley came out with the fancy display with all the crap. Well guess what Victory is dead and no one I ride with ever uses the fancy stuff except the GPS which you can get on you phone for free. I have a ski doo that tells you its warming up and the altitude, temp all the gauges you think you need in the end I look at my speedo once and awhile and my fuel gauge, the rest is just waste.
