Instead of all the over regulation rhetoric, wouldn't it have been easier to just say that you're not interested in your grandkids (or anyone else's grandkids) enjoying the sport as it was originally envisioned, but it is OK for families to be regulated to riding in controlled riding encampments for your convenience?

As for the old guard.... Until last year, we had a place UP north for over ten years. My wife and I were more than welcomed into the clubs that we still belong to UP there. Often spending more time working club functions while we were UP, then riding our snowmobiles.
As for the $3-4K yard toys.... I'm ordering two of them to add to our small CC vintage snowmobile fleet. Because to me, it's more important to try and draw the next generation into the sport then say, power steering on a sled.
