What did everyone order this year? Next winter has to be better than this winter, correct?

I will be getting a 2018 Polaris Switchback Pro S 600 in the colors below, other than I went with a Titanium tunnel. I had 9 colors to chose from, so it wasn't easy. I'm old, so I added a tall windshield, mirrors and a more storage area. I went with the 3 year bumper to bumper, free IDD GPS gauge and $1,000.00 Golden Ticket.

2018 50th anniversary Sidewinder. Red White and black. Shorty. I am old too so I am getting a bigger windshield. There will also be different skis but I dont know what yet. Also the extended warranty out to 5 years. And a bunch of Woody's studs in the center bars with red double backers. Have not had a new sled for awhile. Am really looking forward to it. From Kip.

No Snowcheck, maybe left over??? Leftover prices are real attractive. How ever with another very low snow year, maybe just wait.

Well it looks like I went in another direction. After another year of low-snow/no-snow I decided to go with wheels instead of skis. My current sled is more than adequate for when it snows again so I went with one of these...

It's the new Spyder from BRP. Just picked it up and so far I'm very happy with it. My wife calls it "the thing" and it features the 1330cc Rotax. It's a relatively new engine and I wouldn't be shocked if it didn't end up in their sleds before long as there's been a lot of people clamoring for an upgrade from the 1200. As for the ride, it's very comfortable and with plenty of acceleration in traffic. About the only negative I have found is that she's a little bit thirsty, right around 30 miles per gallon. I guess we're pushing a bit more air than the two wheelers. I'm thinking that will improve once the engine is broken in.

So, until it snows again I guess I'll be riding one of these.

Looking good Gary!!! How does riding a Spyder differ from riding a regular bike. A friend is thinking of going that way from his Harley. Good luck, and enjoy!!!

I have less than 100 miles on it so I should probably check back later when I have more to offer. As you would expect it corners flat, it's not necessary to lean and it's very well planted. The rear suspension is an air shock that is adjustable on the fly depending on road conditions. There's a lot of technology on the Spyders, probably more than I will use. The darn thing is smarter than I am, took me a day to figure out how to turn the radio on...

I think for 1 it is not mandatory to dress like one of the leather village people or Freddy Mercury to ride on .

First time since 2004 that I am not buying a new Ski-Doo and first time since 2011 that I am not snow-checking at least one new Ski-Doo.
Why? I got a new 17 XCR 600 with 2 year warranty for 8,636 all in out the door.
Hopefully, someone will give me 6,900 in March with 2,000 mules on it (it we have an ok winter).

Oh well, hope I like it; haven't ridden it yet but Polaris Dan swears but Polaris.
Maybe I will change my handle to Polaris Frank.

Hey Polarisfrank, LOL
Your going to like that XCR. The way that rear suspension (XC rear swing arm) eats up the bumps is amazing. Really smooths out the whooped up trails. Once you get it dialed in, the balance on them is spot on. So if you want more bite in the corners, you choke up on it. Or move rearward in the bumps and let the XC suspension work its magic, to smooth things out for you. I was also really impressed with the quick response of the new 600 motors. Way quicker than my '14, and Austin said that up to 85 or 90 he couldn't catch up on his 800. ('15 so not a HO)

That is shocking Frank! But that is one heck of a deal, that's for sure. What track length do you normally ride? Can't wait to see what you think of it. They are very sharp looking in that red.

Whoa, Gary, for a second I thought you bought a Corvair :acne:. I'm not a bike guy but these things look like they would be a lot of fun.

On the sled front, I always enjoy seeing the photos when the Snowchecks come in and the other new fall purchases that people will be riding nex winter.
