Summer Tweaks on sleds for next Season

Anyone have Summer plans for doing anything to their sleds for next Winter? Not sure how much I'll get done. Need skid shocks for sure.
Been thinking about a big bore kit. Probably from Bikeman Performance. Will do the pipe mod, reeds, and power commander while I'm at it.
Going to depend on cash flow, wages been down last couple of years. Which has caused me to pick up some credit card debt. So I've made a job change. Should improve on fun money situation. But need to pay down CC debt first.

What kind of sled? I have a good friend that did a bikeman big bore on his pro rmk. Never ran right, burnt the engine down twice, bikeman did all the install work.he ended up taking the big bore kit and and put it back to stock. I'd research it more. I ride a cat, and have been buying Speedwerx products since day one. Knock on wood, I've never had a engine or clutch failure on any of my kits from Speedwerx.

Be on my Polaris 600 RMK. Heard all good reviews on it on SnoWest. Maybe I'll do some Google searching if I can find some more info. Me and Google a love/HATE relationship.
I was going to price compare Indy Specialties if they do 600 big bore (didn't see it on their website) Going to bring clutch in for balancing there. See their pricing then. They're shop is <30 miles so I'll bring it in vs shipping.
Where is a good place to find reviews on all kits available?

UPDATE
Looking at speedwerx. Looks like a AC performance only. Under polaris only seeing vent kits. And a supercharger for pro 800

I've heard that Carl's Cycles does a great 660 kit. But that was awhile ago since I last looked, not sure if its still available.

yeah I don't know tossing 2500 to 3g at a 600 for what 12 to 18hp ?
I am no one to talk because I have spent a lot of cash a gross amount on mods over the yrs . that said tossing that kind of cash at something that will still not have the power of a 800 that could be had for less money and poss a warranty with it?

Selling the 600 and buying the 800 will cost less than a motor upgrade to the 600, and you'll have a better motor.

I will be bringing mine home in a week or two, I might put a different wrap on it over the summer, otherwise it's getting some startron added to the tank, and parked. Pretty exciting eh? Lol.

New motor mounts, kmod a arms, zollinger spindles, and typical maintenance parts. Anything beyond that will depend on what the piggy bank looks like.

x100 on getting an 800. The new Poo 800 HO is fantastic!!!

Okay so part of wanting to do the big bore. Was doing the work. A lot of fun factor involved in that. Also thought the cost of upgrade around 2k, would be money well spent. Now reading posts I am wondering if 800 is the way to go. I didn't think my sled may have re sale value.
QUESTION now is: Is NADA values somewhat accurate? I am surprised at the values it showed for my sled. Not sure I'd get tge top suggested list price but if I could reasonably get between average retail and suggested list (8k or 8500) I'd be willing to sell and buy an 800.
Are these values attainable? I did put in my zip code etc.

I'm sure you know this, but suggested retail is the price it would have sold for new off of the dealer floor. Average retail is more realistic, unless of course this sled is in absolute "mint" condition with exceptionally low miles. You will never recoup the cost of all the extras that you do to the sled. In the same token, I can appreciate wanting to do upgrades, which is cheaper than a new sled for sure. The 600 is a decent engine & is reasonably economical with enough power for the Midwest & the cost of maintenance & frequency of repair is less than that of the larger cc motors. ****, a 2014 is not what I would call old, if your happy with it, keep it & do the things you want to do to it, just don't expect to get it all back, it's far less than a new sled. One way or another you will be spending money you will not be getting back. Snowmobiles in general are not exactly an investment that you can expect to make money on. So yes - do what you want. If you like wrenching and playing around then go for it. It is your toy and your money. And Mezz is right - 2014 is not that old. It is not like you would be gaining a whole lot of refinements by moving up a year or two.

What ever you do it will cost you, as you will never recoup the money spent to trade, or update your sleds with mods. Sledding just does not work that way. And dealers as a rule are hesitant to put as much money in a mod sled as for trade value when you do go to trade. So you will probably have to do a private sale when ready to move on from it. As many used buyers won't go near a modified sled. They're just not interested as they think it has probably been rode pretty hard being it's modified. I would talk to Kip, as he is a Polaris dealer, and get some ideas on the costs to trade, or do the mod on your 600. He will be honest with you, and will help steer you to where you want to get to be either way. Good luck with what ever you end up doing!!!
