on the news this morning seen something that quite honestly I just don't get. In the coming new year "excessive video gaming" will not only be recognized as but recognized by medical doctors and insurance companies as a and I quote "mental illness". My jaw just hit the ground and my head shook is disgust and disbelief, in a world where the health care and insurance industry is out of control, where people can either not get or afford insurance or the "legitimate" health care they need, where entitlement and social security is out of control and on an never ending rise we are now going to recognize video gaming as an illness... a disability. Well to save the insurers and the medical industry some time and money I have the easiest solution to the problem. Put the controller down, unplug the game system and turn the tv off, cant get any easier than that, and I'm not even a doctor. And depending how old you are either follow this easy solution to the "illness" either go outside and play or get a dam job. I mean what the **** is wrong with people, I still cannot believe it, what we consider illness today and how people cant or choose not to lead a normal purposeful life because in todays world we have excuse after excuse that says you don't have to. Why don't they have a disease for the people that "WANT" to work, that pay into this silver platter system we have, because you know what??? the working man/woman....we are the ones who need their heads examined....we are the stupid ones. I'm sorry but YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!

It's the world we live in and always will.......If we don't give those in poverty money then what? More crime, disease, homelessness? We can go on and on!

We're stuck with this BS forever.....

Money is not the answer. It's jobs and charity. Giving money, welfare, etc., has been proven to be detrimental. Over 80% of violent crimes come from people on Government assistance. This current policy just adds to lack of "self worth". Earning an honest living is by far the best medicine for most of our troubles in this country.

Hey, I'm all about giving anything a try! If it doesn't work then let's try something else until we get it right! Trial and error!

Earning an honest days living... I agree is the answer, but the silver platter has to be taken away, the excuses have to stop as to why someone cant work, there are jobs for everyone but it costs too much to work and that's the problem. I had someone work for me for 4 days and I had to stop it before I had no tongue left , I got this person through a workforce development program, shortly after the termination I received a call from them, I explained the situation and the response was " that is todays generation and I need to learn how to adapt" ummm lets see....im sorry but no I don't. I'm just getting tired of all the excuses and yes they are excuses for some as to why someone cant work or is disabled. and like I said the people with legitimate reasons have to go through so much red tape and give up everything to get something they truly deserve. I used to have to travel past the social security office when I worked in the city and 98% of the people in line were my age or younger, its just very frustrating as a working tax payer and business owner, when is it going to stop.

It’s sad when you realize your taxes go to lazy POS mother truckers. Heck I bust my rear end off every day except Sunday to have the things I do and the life I do and provide for my family. But yet there are people/ families who don’t work do drugs smoke cigarettes drink exseively and have a nicer truck and bigger house and nicer things. I’m by no means saying money buys happiness or that you can simply judge someone’s happiness based on the stuff they have but when they brag about there EBT on social media and how they get 1000 bucks a month in food stamps and they have a brand new truck or car in the drive way and how the government paid for there 2800 square foot home built brand freaking new I get pretty fuzzed off. The only government money I see my self entitled to is my social security check 60 years from now if it even exists when I am retired if I retire. I am a proud small business owner and I work as a dairy farmer nothing crazy or special in the winter months and there have been times when the only meat in our freezer is the deer I shot. But yet these food stamp people will have a deep freezer full to the brim just crazy absolutely crazy. Rant over sorry guys!

Soc Sec Disability seems to be the gravy train. I know of 6 -7 people receiving " disability" checks each month. Could they work ? well yes and no. Yes they could,,, but because of past choices , decisions, and addictions to drugs, alcohol, now they cant or wont. Why should they - EBT- Cell phone - medical -Check each month . They don't exactly live like I would want, but all get by.

Let us not forget the business/corporate welfare in this country. States, and communities bidding for businesses??? And all at the expense of the tax payers. Crazy at best. Most times no way to ever come close to recoup the costs.

I guess Foxconn is the ultimate in corpfare but the end result has a very good chance to actually take ppl OFF of a social program (welfare) and put them to work as well as teach them self worth.....not to mention infrastructure jobs it is already creating.

Or were you referring to the ethanol mandate that takes our tax dollars to prop up a fuel that no one wants????

I'm still tossed on this whole foxcon thing yet, as a small business owner just irritated about all the concessions that have been made to bring them here, our infrastructure around here to say the least is miserable, and that's because we had no money to fix it and now all of a sudden we have all this money to buy land, build roads let alone the cost of maintaining all of this infrastructure, who is going to pay for that? and as far as job creation, as far as I understood a very large portion of the supposed 10,000 jobs are going to have to come with education and where are they going to find them unless they come from surrounding communities, and yes I hope it does get people off welfare, entitlement and state subsidies as well but look at amazon, uline, look at the turn over, plus there are so many places looking for employment around here and the bottom line is these people just don't want to work. As soon as you have to start paying for things that were once handed to you, they realize it costs too much to work and these people who cant even work part time are going to work 10 -12 hours a day? good luck with that. As a small business owner I will tell you that Taxes and insurance are the biggest killer. Think about it... I sell you a piece of equipment and make $100 on it, you have now paid the state sales tax on that unit. I take that $100 profit and pay my employees out of it, they then pay state tax again, federal, social sec, fica and I as an employer I have to match some of that and what ever if anything is left of that $100 if I don't expense it somehow is considered profit and I pay tax on that again, and what do those taxes pay for? that's right...... entitlement. And I know there are other small business owners on this site.... how many concessions have been made for you? maybe I will start gaming excessively, I'm sorry but just another excuse to abuse the system and as much as we want to blame the abusers, it all starts with the system.

Only the VEETC ended in 2011 after confiscating $7,000,000,000 in taxes. There still remains mandated ethanol blending whether we want it or not.
I am sure you are well aware of these gov. mandates as you are part of the industry.

any county that receives federal road or highway money has to carry at least one grade of ethanol blended fuel, as far as I understand, I could be wrong but thought that was one of the mandates that were required when the last tier of epa requirements were passed

The blending rules, have to do with the oxygenate/fuel mandate. Ethanol just happens to be the cheapest, and enhances the octane of lower grade gasoline. Yes controlled by EPA. Seasonally changes also. It seems people for the most part choose the cheaper fuel.
