still waiting on Polaris snowcheck

last spring i snow-checked a 600 pro s switchback for my wife. Here it is December 22nd and my dealer still hasn't received the sled yet. Polaris has given me 4 different ship dates going back to early November. so far every time the date arrives and i call to confirm they tell "not yet" and give me a revised ship date. Polaris "ambassador" tells me the new date for the build now is Jan. 8th. !! Crazy, winter will be half over by time the dealer gets the sled and i get it home to stud and ready to ride. anyone else still waiting on a snow check from polaris??

I didn't snowcheck this year but that is crazy! Something seems odd to me. Are they saying it isn't even built yet as you said the build date is now Jan. 8th? I'd be doing a ton of complaining and calling. Tell your dealer to get more involved.

Buddy just got his on Thursday. On plus side at least warranty will be longer!!
But yeah build date of January 8 is unacceptable.. Figure another 10 days for delivery and dealer set up.

Is Polaris a Union shop?

Word on the street is they have a shortage of delivery drivers. Ton of sleds sitting in crates ready to ship but no onr to deliver them. The delivery route heads up into canada first then across to the east coast and back towards the midwest so usually takes a good 10 days to get from Polaris to your dealer. But who knows, maybe it hasnt been built yet. They're probably too busy trying to figure out all the 850 problems...

What kind of problems? What are you hearing?
I haven't heard of any yet. And with not many 850s out there, Should I be worried?

there is a thread on snowest under the axys section with a decent number of failures reported.

It’s a long thread but a good one, 46k views and counting fast.

This appears to be a bad situation in not knowing why it is??? Something is trying to tell you that. Very poor on Poo's part!!! No excuse!!! I would demand my $$$ back at once, and tell them to shove it!!!! Perhaps that will get some action??? There are a lot of sleds available out there, maybe not exact to your snow check.

This is really unacceptable, all sled manufacturers should be able to deliver a snow check on or before December 1. To give you 4 different ship dates and then tell you it hasn’t even been built yet would drive me crazy. I salute your patience!

at this point they haven't given a reason why. they just keep saying "stick with us" and "we are working around the clock to get the sled out the door". but after all the dates i've been given that have come and gone, i have no faith even in the Jan. 8th. date. Which if i'm lucky might put the sled in my trailer by the 15th. we had a long trip planned for the new years weekend. doesn't do much good to get the sled in the middle of Jan. or later.

i asked the factory rep about getting a refund and they pretty much told me that wasn't an option, "work with your dealer to see what they would do". my dealer has been great and has offered to work a deal on other sleds he has on the floor, but he only has rush's and xcr's. i just don't understand when they have a spring order in hand why they can't ship 8 months later?

After all you have been put thru, now your trip being upset/disrupted, and the Poo Rep said no refund!!! Really??? That's BS to the max!!! There just seems to be a whole lot here your not being told??? You snow checked this sled, that should at the least insure a early build, and a timely delivery!!! This makes snow checking a laugh. There's no way you have to end up taking any kind of sled you don't really, really want!!! I would go to your county courthouse, and talk with the states attorney/county attorney on the not able to refund issue immediately. Your dealer should fully understand you doing this too, as it is your MONEY!!!! If he doesn't agree, you need a new dealer also!!! If that is the case, I suggest Kip!!!

Polaris just needs to just start a trucking division and handle this in house if its truly the reason. Shipping issues is a problem for every industry but I would think Polaris would have enough demand to start hauling it themselves. Might be a bit more expensive but certainly more reliable.

Not all trucks go into Canada first and then onto the East coast. I tracked my delivery and it came right through he midwest first.

This has nothing to do with your 600 not bein delivered yet but Polaris snow div. is on the verge of a major catastrophe. Serious glitch with its all new 850 Patriot engine PTO crankshaft bearing. This is not good.
Makes me sad.

Probably right, just repeating what i heard from a guy at the dealer.

As for the 850 issue, i just rode 4 days with one. The 4th day got cut short... Maybe the breeze will chime in as to why. Beyond his going down we saw 2 of them flooded out on the mountain. I dont have a good feeling about this season for Polaris.

Yes there is a 20 page long thread on snowest about it. Majority of it is Indy Dan and Kelsey fighting back and forth, but there is some good info in it and lots of reports of down 850s. Last I checked 2 days ago there was also a post on Sledderz 2.0 on facebook that had 700+ comments at the time...

Very odd Polaris can’t delivery a 600 SB. Seems to me Polaris can’t fulfill the contract in a timely fashion and owes you a refund or a sled. No sled so failure to deliver = a refund. I would escalate your request get the bean counters to write you a check or deliver a sled ASAP.
