Nobody is asking you to say anything. Let's just start looking forward, and the consequences of a more prolonged shut down. We are where we are now, its happened, they shuttered the country. BUT - Just like everyone else, I'm sure you have been to a grocery story, or perhaps a hardware store for SOMETHING in the last 4-5 weeks. What are we doing? "Social distancing", some people have to wear a mask to feel safe, heck, I've seen people in full body wrapped suits. Why can't we start doing that same thing NOW in these other small businesses? As I said before, there won't be anywhere near the number of people in these smaller businesses, that I have seen at Menards, Fleet Farm, Target, Sam's Club etc etc on the weekends. I mean, the parking lots of these places have been PACKED for at least the last two weekends. (And no, I wouldn't go in them on any other weekend if they looked that full)
We may have an opportunity to get these businesses at least open, and get a few people through them to help keep them afloat. It certainly won't happen over night, in fact, I believe it will take MONTHS before many see anywhere near the level of business they had. But the sooner we get started, the sooner we can get the ball rolling, and hopefully save some peoples lives here, Financially, at the same time staying healthy.
