    Gone in 60 Minutes

Late afternoon I'm out in the garage and I hear something big coming down the street. This guy pulls up and parks in front of our house. "What Fresh Hell is This? I know I didn't call him! The object of his attention. A dying Ash Tree in the neighbor's yard. As the crew was setting up their...

The Leaves - They are A-Changin'

Ironically, the day you posted, our Heat Index was 110 in East-Central Wisconsin. "So we ain't there yet." But....... as noted above, it's been dry here and there is a Maple across the street from us that is turning color. As with all things, Mother Nature tends to balance things out. If it...

    3 Reasons to Smile

So, my Spyder's been in the shop since last week. Still waiting on parts so I'm limited to driving my truck, the wife's car or looking at pretty women on motorcycles. As you can see, I went with the obvious. If you look closely, you'll see a motorcycle in every picture. At least that's what I...

    Fly Like an Eagle

I recall some kind of controversy at this year's EAA. Might have been grounded due to the availability of a Back Seater as they wouldn't let it fly without one. Obviously, they had one at Willow Run as you can see them both eject. Too bad she's just a pile of junk now.

    2023 gardens

Tomatoes and Beans are coming in. Potatoes look good but I won't know until I dig them up. Peppers are plentiful and cucumbers are yet to form. A very dry summer. If not for daily watering, there would be nothing out there.

Smart phone plans - any good ones for occasional phone use?

Either way, you're going to have a bill every 30 days. Renew your Trac Phone or pay for cellular once a month. If it's just for winter and summer the Trac Phone would be a better choice since you'll have some down time in between seasons.

    Civil War Gold

We're in the Dead Zone for a Snowmobile Website. With temps up around 90 in the shade, it's hard to get excited over New Models, the Best Oil, and planned trips. Therefore, our interests may wander at this time of year. Some on here know that I dabble in Civil War history. I've been to several...

    Fly Like an Eagle

This will be my last post on the subject. Gotta tell ya that it's taken me a couple of days to get back to normal following the weeklong activities. It's a good kind of tired but tired, nonetheless. We weathered a couple of storms, a few days of heat and two crashes on the last full day that...

    Fly Like an Eagle

Four Empty Chairs It's sad to report we had two separate crashes at the EAA AirVenture today. Four dead and two injured that are in Stable Condition. The first was a crash of a T6 Trainer which crashed into Lake Winnebago and the second was a pair of small helicopters that collided in mid-air...

    Fly Like an Eagle

They're Finally Home GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Even after arriving back home, many Vietnam War veterans found that there was no Welcome Home celebration. “Nothing, nothing. I came home to a four-month-old baby,” said one veteran. “I got off the plane in Washington, the state of Washington, and...
