I've been using the 509 chest protector this year. It has a great fit! I bought it at haydays last year, and I was able to get a good feel for how it worked with my jacket. The 509 took the place of my mid layer now. I do need to be aware of how warm it will be though. My main jacket is an...

Enclosed trailer purchase.. looking for help

Thanks, welcome! For the door, I really never have it parked on the street. I do have times it was was parked along the road when I dropped somewhere, but pretty rare. Usually parking lots, and I never have to worry about that hazard. At my house, my access is on best used on that side, and...

La Nina is here, anything that explains the warmer weather we have had this winter?

Here in central WI we've had good moisture this winter. Just more rain then snow this year due to the warmth. Or like last week S. WI had 8". Couple days later it was all melted. Last year was cold and no moisture. Can't win... That's why last year was very frustrating for central WI. If we had...

Enclosed trailer purchase.. looking for help

Same size as mine. Works good! Especially if you need the 5th sled. That's the only time I have needed to "finesse" a sled around in there. My fenders inside are not as tall as yours, so I was able to run the ski guides over the fenders. I'll give some other specs I added from factory, and...

    Munising and East?

I39 North was a ghost town today compared to weeks past. I usually pass a lot of trailers heading north on Wed-Fri. I didn't see a single one.

I assume Polaris will offer the 9R in a flatland setup.

Enclosed trailer purchase.. looking for help

All good info! I believe my 27'(22' box + 5'V), weighs right around 3K. My diesel pulls it very well. We'll sometimes take my dad's Suburban. Crazy weight difference compared to my old steel deckover. I feel the 22' box is a good fit. I've been able to get 5 sleds in mine before. Nice setup! I...

    The Big Game is Tomorrow

Agreed. I saw about half the game. To have a game finish like that is pretty weak. Let them play!

Yes, you can go side by side on a 8.5' wide. That's the advantage of them. Majority of people seem to prefer the inlines(7 or 7.5') and do not like the the 8.5'w. You'll get various opinions on that. I love the 8.5', and personally do not like inlines. I carry a backup sled, and it stays in the...

    where to stay in Cable?

I've stayed at Lakewoods a couple times. I usually stay at the Lakeview condos in the back. I prefer to have a kitchen. Nice place with bar and restaurant. Nice area to choose different loops.

SE WI - Walworth - Waukesha - Racine - Kenosha - Jefferson Counties

Have you actually sat in a club meeting to discuss this? How is your club sitting financially? Has there been new signs/posts/equipment needed? Do you know where this money goes specifically in your club? I never buy the trail pass thinking I will use it locally. Even if we open locally, it's...

SE WI - Walworth - Waukesha - Racine - Kenosha - Jefferson Counties

Tough deal in low snow zones. I look at it as paying my dues when I mark our local trails. If I had expectations to ride them every year, I would be more disappointed then not. Trail passes numbers overall are pretty good though. All those goes towards the fund.

SE WI - Walworth - Waukesha - Racine - Kenosha - Jefferson Counties

People do not realize the importance of trail pass for the entire state's trail funding for grooming, marking/brushing, bridges, etc.! We all should be aware of where this money goes. If you free ride, you do nothing to help our WI trails! Us as riders need to educate people that do not...

Off trail riding on the local news

Correct. Only time you need to show it is if you're stopped for whatever reason. When I was pulled over for rolling a stop sign 15 years ago, DNR asked for it. I told him I was not certified and was not aware of the law! I was born in July of 1985, and just missed the grandfathered law. He told...

Off trail riding on the local news

Lot of good points brought up here. Unfortunately it's up to us as sledders to figure this out. I feel the youth are not educated enough. I feel younger riders have no idea how trails are started and maintained. And you cannot leave the marked trail otherwise it's trespassing. They just see...

    Ashland County Trails

I don't really feel 3 times in 10 years is a good sample size. That's your opinion though. I'm not one to make club excuses, but Iron always has consistent snow(more LES) then Ashland, and probably more volunteers. So I guess you do not know anyone from Neskoro club?

    When you ride in town

Sorry to hear. That has to be frustrating. If anyone has issues with the Polaris App, make certain to contact the local club first, or county association. I didn't realize till last Fall, each club can have a Polaris trail manager. The trail manager can manually edit the trails for any...

Pictures and Conditions from Price County

Thanks for sharing! Great trails in Price. We were riding around Park Falls earlier last week. I took my boy up the tower last year. Fantastic sights up there! We stopped at Hill of Beans after the hill stop so my boy could warm up and get some hot chocolate. They even stayed open later for us...

1200+ Miles Now OPEN in So. & Central Wi

Sounds like a good ride. I suppose a lot of changes there! Lot of it lost to suburbs. I did a very short ride with my boy after work tonight. Columbia county is pretty light on the north end. It was groomed though.
