Yes, hard to be interested in a new sled when I put on very limited miles on my 2024. As it is, I would probably just buy a leftover 2024 that will be available at a significantly reduced price between now and the Summer.
Not sending out the groomers would be the a dumb idea for the clubs. They get funding per hour in Wisconsin they run. The second 6-8" of good snow flies up there they will be running.
Pure stupidity to have an ice shack or ATV on the ice given the current weather conditions. I have zero sympathy for either person in your stories. It's one thing to zip across think ice at high rate of speed on a snowmobile but an ATV/sitting ice shack just makes zero sense given the thin...
We need those temps to drop next weekend 5-10 degrees. I was hoping the recent snowfall up there would impact the temps a bit but this warm front push on xmas looks strong.
As for the lakes, I don't think they are far off. The small/medium lakes held up through the warm/rain last week and...
My new Polaris is already in as well. No problem picking it up in September. Don't have to worry about getting any road slop on her while I bring it home in the back of a truck.
I bought my place with the plan to only use it during the Fall/Winter months and rent out in the summer. Found out I loved having it in the summer as well. However as someone already said, you could easily rent it out in the summer months to pay for your cost/winter lodging. If the younger...
What if that said small property you paid say 100k was valued at 250k 40 years later? Not all real estate goes up but if you have the right location it sure can earn you some money. Anyone who had a house in Northern Wisconsin since pre COVID is likely up 40% in value today. It might not stay...
I understand that. But I would like to think the best helmet on the market has a better way to control temp that riding with the visor cracked open. The helmet is way to warm for an aggressive riding in the woods. If all you do is rail road grades in the UP its fine. This new helmet seems to...
My hope with the line of "active riders" they are designing this helmet to be much cooler then the Oxygen. The Oxygen is way too warm of a helmet if its above 20 degrees and you are riding aggressively.
My point is that the new 850's are more lower then a lot of people need. But he'll, better bumped those to 900's soon like Polaris is rumored to be doing.
The best feature on the Polaris gauge is the group ride feature. You can always see the location of one of your riding buddies. No more turning around to go see if they had a problem. You can see exactly where they are and that they are moving in the right direction. Or if they made a wrong...
