    POLARIS FACTORY PRODUCTION

Controlling inventory is very real across a lot of different industries. It will last while demand is still high but eventually that will slow. Its the reversal of the "race to the bottom" theory on pricing that we have seen for the last decade. Not everything you stated is true but...

The last line is the exact problem. If a club's ego is above a little recruiting things will never change. Nobody is waiting to be recruited. However i do think clubs have people and even members on the sidelines that would be willing to help more with a little nudge. The recruiting would...

I'm not worried about finding a new club for myself. I'm good with what I get out of my club. I'm just pointing out the reasons I see for lack of membership or interest in clubs. Specifically in Wisconsin and the UP. Can't speak for areas out East/west.

Clearly different parts of the state are run in different ways. If your down in the southern part sure the business don't so much of the work but I feel it's different in the northern counties. I guess my main issue with the "club" attitude of many on this board is that the people who run the...

I can see why nobody wants to join your club. Your mentality that you shouldn't have to recruit people is your problem. I am a club member myself and honestly see little benefit from it but I always do it because I ride the same area. I see a bigger benefit of supporting the businesses that do...

You don't need to be a Facebook member to see clubs reports on Facebook.

The irony of you being on the internet saying young people wouldn't survive without it is funny. This is the same argument every year. The old crew thinks everything will fall apart when the younger generations takes it over.

I believe your in the UP....the UP of Michigan is so different then Northern Wisconsin. In the UP it doesn't seem the clubs are filled with the local business owners like it is in Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, sure joining a club is great, but I feel like you can help out in so many ways that are...

Most clubs in the UP and Northern Wisconsin are still run like they did 20 years ago (short of maybe using facebook). That to me is part of the problem with the inability of attracting new members. I also rarely see clubs promoting themselves on the weekends when everyone is up riding and...

Great point. I have a good pulse on where I ride as to which businesses help out the most with the trail systems. I assure you my crew supports those places significantly more then those businesses that don't help. That support is likely far better then my $25 club membership.

I would sure love to know how you know those people on the wrong side of the trail are new riders. Its this mentality that it was all the new riders or young riders causing the problem that run people off from the clubs. I see more older riders riding 2-ups thinking they are going slow so its...

not good news for Polaris sled owners

Rumor is they have a fix, it has been tested and waiting on a response back from the Government if it covers things.

Rising fuel costs hinder planned trips?

I think you will see some dips in attendance but I wouldn't relate it all to gas prices, etc. A lot of people spent significant time in the Northwoods the last two years during COVID. Those people have other things going on now (kids sports, other vacations, return to work) that can likely...

Rising fuel costs hinder planned trips?

Breakfast is a hard business......You don't make as much as a place serving lunch and dinner. The booze adds up and most places in the Northwoods can't be open for all three.

    It's a Walmart thing....

Sounds like a group of people who can't handle change. Once you learn how to use it goes so much faster which means less line. Sounds like the wheel chair guy needed some help. Gotta love that people think they need a discount for using it. I guess that shouldn't be a huge surprise...

    It's a Walmart thing....

This sound more like a knock on the residents of Burlington, Wi not knowing how to use a computer/self check out then a Walmart problem. Hopefully you don't live there......:) I choose self check every time as I don't often have many things in my cart when at the store.

Hopefully NONE of you support this guy

Small Northwoods towns need people like them to help out when times are tough. AS you mentioned, they bought up a lot of business and help turn them around which in turn provides jobs and service to those residents/visitors. Families such as the Uline crew do far more for areas in the...

    Sticker shock

Consumer expectation is as high as ever yet they still want it as cheap as it was 5-10 years ago. The race to the bottom pricing is over unfortunately for all of us. The trend has changed and people will need to adjust accordingly.

stay on your side of the trail

Its why I enjoy riding after dark the best especially those tight twisty trails. Seeing headlight makes a huge difference.
