Looking at the long range for the next 2-3 weeks it’s pretty warm, 40’s-50’s, with a cold day or two but more warm days and that sun is high in the sky burning a lot hotter now.

Making ice and and displacing ice. Lots of ice moving onshore this year, I had to move my shore stations up further because it’s creeping up. It bent my neighbors lift leg, just got back from Florida, was checking things out.

No business’s have closed for good but they have had to lay off people and adjust hours. If they could get through Covid they can get through this but it’s not good.

I drove down to Minocqua today and Vilas County Highway Department was mowing the sides of Highway 51, yes it’s February 14th, sad not feeling it.

Ventured out around 4pm for the late bite yesterday, warm but really breezy. Planned to fish until 6pm as it seems they were biting right around 5pm. Two Northerns and a largemouth bass, all went back into the lake. Best part was enjoying a cold beer around 5pm with my buddy and watching this!

Going to take a lot to get things up and run up here, it was 51 yesterday, 42 today with just a dusting of snow on the ground. More like mud season right now.
