    Looks like 2 to 4 inches for most of the northwoods, except 5 to 8 inches west and north of minocqua... (lac du flambeau, Mercer, and northern price county.)...anything over 3 inches will make the trails very nice from tomahawk and north...we have a good base, and with the cold weather expected...

    Left Ldf this morning, am currently by lake nokomis....so far 64 miles on my dad's old 500 venture (test run, first run in two years). The trails around flambeau were mostly white, and overall I'd say good condition....the 17 trail (railrode grade along hwy 47)...was nice all the way to lake...

    There are some closures in the minocqua-pier willow area (forest riders club) , and also in the three lakes area. Check the club web pages for more info. No lakes are marked....the lakes are NOT SAFE...so stay off them!!!!

    We received 5 to 6 inches so far in Lincoln county (more to the south, less to the north)...right now it's stopped snowing completely...supposed to start back up....I'll let you know...if you are trailering up roads are terrible from central Wisconsin to the north.

    2-19-17...Tomahawk update.

    Not much to say...conditions deteriorated rapidly Friday and saturday...and are currently toast...lakes are slushy...our base is completely gone, and the frost is even out of the ground. It will take a miracle to get the trails back to rideable...I guess spring has sprung early again this year...
