    Winter Tires

On my F150 I had AT tires and ended up backwards on the freeway with a loaded 20' trailer. Found a guy selling a set of Blizzaks on steel rims and bought them. What an amazing difference. Felt way more comfortable, even on ice, and they did an awesome job in snow. The biggest advantage I see to...

    10-31-23

I read some reports online that the Finland MN area got between 6-12" depending on who you ask. Early start but it'll be nice for MN deer hunters this weekend.

    How was your camping season?

It was very comfortable to have at Hay Days. Love the amount of room in it, very comfortable bed. We get a stunning 8 mpg towing it. But that is better than towing our last camper with our F150, that was closer to 7 mpg.

Where were you 21 years ago Today?

I was driving into Mpls/St Paul to visit a supplier. Heard about the first one on the radio as I was driving in and they thought it was an accident. Then as the radio team watched the second one hit it became clear what was going on. Then traffic was stopped on I94 right at the 494/694...

    Hay Days this year

It was a great weekend. Had nothing to really look for so I mostly just browsed. Bought a couple of shirts, wife bought some jam in the swap meet, hung out with friends, and enjoyed the show. I thought crowds were maybe down a bit on Saturday and the Sunday crowd is always very light so thats...

How hot did it get in your area this weekend?

    Hay Days this year

Gotta be honest, there's so little stuff I need anymore that I'm really there for the party part. We've camped with the same crew since they started allowing camping so thats always a lot of fun. Then I meet up with the rest of the group I ride with inside and we wander the swaps, find that rare...

    Hay Days this year

Is there anybody on the board that is going to be camping at Hay Days this year? We always camp in the Chicken Coop campground across the highway and if anybody else is there you are welcome to stop by our campsite for a beer or two. We have a group of 3-4 campers that have camped together for...

There was construction on Going to the Sun Road near McDonald Lake so that was a PITA. I love going over the Beartooth also. Another awesome drive!

    How was your camping season?

So I'd mentioned last fall on this thread that our old camper had gotten totaled and we were going to have to look for another. Looked at a lot of used campers, inspected them much more than we did our previous nightmare, and finally settled on this one. Just picked it up a couple of weeks ago...

    Glacier National Park

We were also there 2 years ago but took advantage of our son living in Montana and had to pay him a visit. Our daughter even flew in from NYC to meet us. Started in Bozeman, drove to Couer D' Alene for a night, then to Sandpoint ID for a night and then back to Whitefish, MT and GNP for the next...

    The Perfect Up North Property

So this is kind of the way we did it. We originally looked for a existing cabin but they were either outrageously priced or absolute junk. So we changed our plan to buy land and build. Luckily we could do most of the stuff ourselves. I had to hire out the dirt work, well and septic, taping and...

    The Perfect Up North Property

I'm struggling right now with the last part of your statement. People originally said what a great investment it will be while I said it was a horrible investment as nobody ever sells cabins, they pass them along. As we are getting close to retirement the question is being raised again. I have...
