    ordered my new ride

Yeah, I joke I'm not getting any younger and the hills in Duluth aren't getting getting any shorter so something had to give! My other mtn bike is a Scott Spark 945 and I have an Advocate Watchman fat bike. I love to ride the Spark also but the fat bike I've never gotten to attached to.

    ordered my new ride

Yep, gotta keep it charged but the motor in this bike is unique motor so riding it with a dead battery doesn't add any drag like other e-bikes do.

    ordered my new ride

Yes, its a Trek Fuel EXE. Its considered a mid power pedal assist bike. Smaller battery, smaller motor. They say range should be about 25 miles depending on power mode you use, how much climbing you do, etc... Most of my rides are under 15 miles so should be fine.

    ordered my new ride

Not a sled but really looking forward to it. Told myself I'd get another new bike at 55 and then a e bike at 60. Well, I never got the one at 55 so I compromised and got this one at 57 1/2.

    Your "Bucket List"...

Just saw one last Sunday just north of my cabin while riding. They are fun to see and this one was huge!

    I don't get it

Some of the larger chassis we mount equipment on, like a Pete 320 cab forward, had two front axles that both were steer axles. So not Crab Steering but they had a pretty tight steering radius for a 5 axle 80,000 lb truck.

    Your "Bucket List"...

I agree 100%. I'll be 58 when we call it quits and I can tell I'm going to need to spend more time on the bike this summer to get back into the shape I was 2-3 yrs ago. Last summer with selling the house and moving I just didn't have time. But I know some of the things I really want to do I...

    Your "Bucket List"...

We are planning to retire in 305 days, but who's counting, and our bucket list includes a 2-4 month RV trip to Alaska that first summer, spending a fall in southern Utah exploring all the national parks there and mtn biking in Moab. Potentially building our new home, where at we don't know yet...

    First Subaru For Wife

Funny story on transmission flushing. When our 2019 Cross Trek needed its first oil change our son wanted to do it because my wife said she'd pay him $25. I come home to the car up on 4 jack stands and my my son refilling the tranny fluid. He'd drained that instead of the motor oil. So ours had...

    WY trip report

Its funny as I'm closer to 60 than 50 now and I make different choices in spots. Digging out sleds in bottomless snow at 9500+ feet is hard work. The funny part is as I make different choices some of the people I ride with don't so I still have to go in and dig them out. But its still worth it...

    First Subaru For Wife

We've got a 2019 Crosstrek that I commute 130 miles every day with. Great car for northern MN, I'd rather drive that than my F350 on days with crappy road conditions, its a freaking Billy Goat. Haven't given any thoughts to a tranny flush (maybe I should) but its at about 99,000 miles right now...

    WY trip report

Just returned from Crooked Creek guest ranch near Dubois WY. Snow was excellent, bottomless in areas, and we had a great time. Our guide and others said it was a little weird as the last storms it blew so hard that the upper elevations had the snow blown off and it was down in the valleys and...

Exactly. They aren't showing only the good stuff, they are being very honest about conditions.

    CF Moto/Artic Cat

Spoke to a friend who works at CF Moto USA and he said the US team recommended not to do it but the China team is who makes the decisions and he doesn't know which way they lean yet. But he'd bet against it.

    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

More than good friends the founder of Cat was one of the three who originally founded Polaris and a brother to one of them. Edgar and Allen Hetteen.

    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

Just saw that also. Sounds like after they build whatever they have for 1st qtr requirements they will be closing the doors unless a buyer can be found. Bummer.

What year did you sign-up on the John's Site?

I'm thinking late 90's. I remember a trip in 2000 when we used KSE for our guide service

    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

Its a bit ironic if you think of Textron's history in the powersports market. Bought Polaris way back in the late 60's, ran it into the ground and was looking to sell it when times got tough in the early 80's. Polaris management bought it from Textron, took it private at first and then public...
