    What's a 06 Fusion 600 worth? 3000 miles

My 06 Fusion 600 has about 3000 miles. Rod bearing just failed. It's in good condition other than that. lol. It's going to cost about $1800 to have a professional rebuilt the engine. I could save a decent amount by only replacing one cylinder, or rebuilding myself with my Dad's help. Just...

Rod bearing failure 2006 Polaris Fusion 600

My engine broke down a week ago. Dropped it off at a northwoods mechanic that I have reason to trust. He took the engine apart and determined the rod bearing failed. Needs significant rebuild including crank repair. Asked me if I fogged the engine. I bought it last winter and did not...

    Suspension on Vector vs. IQ

Anyone ridden both of these sleds and can compare the handling, suspension, etc. I love the IQ suspension, and I'm thinking about a 4 stroke, and I'm not crazy about the idea of the turbo engine they put in the IQs. Seems like the new Vector would be a good choice, but I'm wondering how it...

Garmin 60 csx and lithium batteries

I managed to get my garmin 60 csx mounted to my Fusion before the last trip but didn't get around to wiring it. With my voltage regulator now on the fritz I'm going to wait until I know for sure that's all fixed before I add anything else to the mix. Has anyone used lithium batteries in their...

2006 Polaris Fusion 600 electric problems - where to start!!

My 06 Polaris Fusion 600 started having electrical problems last weekend. It started out that the light would start dimming or flickering when accelerating. Then the light was just dim all the time. Then the gauge started working on and off. Then the light and gauge worked when I turned the...

Where to look for a used boat trailer?

My Dad bought a used 14' Lund and we need to find a trailer for it. We'll probably end up buying a new one in the Spring but I thought it would be make sense to look for a used one in the meantime. My guess is that decent, used boat trailers are going to be few and far between, and that they...

Experience with xtreme motorsports - Hammond, IN - good? bad?

I am going to have someone check the clutch alignment on my 06 Fusion 600. I bought it with 200 miles last year and it went through a couple belts so I have a feeling that the clutches aren't aligned. The closest Polaris dealer to where my sled is stored is xtreme motorsports in Hammond, IN...

Clutch alignment on Polaris WITH electric start

Ok, I posted about this in the misc section but over here is probably better. Because of some belt issues, I'd like to check the alignment of my clutches. However, I can't seem to find a tool that will do this because I have electric start: 06 Fusion 600 with electric start. Anyone have...

    Riding in mid-March

Hey, We're working on our riding plans for this year...how is riding in the UP normally in mid-March? I realize it's risky or might be a bust, but we're thinking about our last trip being 3 or 4 days around the weekend of March 20. Just trying to figure out if there's a good chance or bad...

    Polaris Toe-in/Toe-out

I put new wearbars on the Fusion last weekend and measured the alignment while I was at it. Looks like I have about 1/4" of toe-IN. A manual I was looking at said it should be between 0 and 5/32" of toe-OUT. I figured I was within the margin of error and decided not to mess with it. Does...

Clutch alignment tool for an 06 Polaris Fusion 600

I want to buy a clutch alignment tool for my 06 Fusion 600. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I had trouble with belts last year and I think it might be misaligned. My secondary clutch says "TEAM" on it and I have electric start. Also, how much slop is supposed to be on the...

    Michigan snowmobile advisory committee

http://www.msasnow.org/ Has it been discussed on here what Gov. Jenny is planning to do to the snowmobile advisory committee in Michigan? I don't live in Michigan, but I ride there and buy trail permits. This is outrageous. The above link has all the details. If you live in Michigan, this...

I was looking at the gore-tex website, and they have links for products by activity. Under snowmobiling, they have Klim (of course) and a couple from Cabelas such as this one...

Prices for 14' or 16' floe enclosures ???

Interested in adding a floe-type enclosure to a 14' or 16' trailer in a year or two (hopefully will be buying an open trailer in the next couple of weeks). Wondering what these things run, ball-park. Goal is to eventually have an enclosed trailer that fits 3 sleds. Like the floe-type...

    Trailer length for three sleds

We're thinking about buying a new 3 place Aluma trailer and possibly adding a floe or similar enclosure in a couple years when we can afford it. Should we buy a 14' or a 16'? All of us currently have 121" sleds. I'm thinking it might be worth the extra $ to buy the 16' now.

Auction good place to buy a trailer?

Just wondering if there are normally a decent amount of trailers at the auction. Thinking about going on Saturday. I know they have some pictures up on the website but I assume many more show up the day of the auction.
