    It's National Pizza Day!

Hungry just looking at those tasty pies. A cold beer, and do you overlook a golf course?

    It's 2024, Let's Fish!

Ventured out around 4pm for the late bite yesterday, warm but really breezy. Planned to fish until 6pm as it seems they were biting right around 5pm. Two Northerns and a largemouth bass, all went back into the lake. Best part was enjoying a cold beer around 5pm with my buddy and watching this!

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

Going to take a lot to get things up and run up here, it was 51 yesterday, 42 today with just a dusting of snow on the ground. More like mud season right now.

We need to be reminded $$$

We all feel your pain OA, believe me when I say that.

What about 2 season old fuel?

I only use Marine Stabil. The regulator Stabil is ok if you are turning over gas regularly but then why would you need it. If you still have some after a year or so look at it, you’ll see what I mean.

We need to be reminded $$$

I should have noted as far as pricing being lowered I’m referring to commodities like food which does go up and down. I realize that other prices such as parts for cars, etc. may never go down once they have been raised.

Still "might" get a week of riding in 🤞

Sounds good Bob, let’s try and fit that in.

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

That is crazy Tim, I’m sure you miss it. It feels more like Spring up here right now.

We need to be reminded $$$

Darren, being a business owner myself I understand what you are saying. If, as they say inflation has dropped into the 3% range then prices for groceries should have drop back as well. Wouldn’t that make sense? That is one area where the mfgs are taking profits I believe. I get it that prices...

We need to be reminded $$$

All for capitalism but when people have to charge their groceries on a credit card and run up a balance that cannot be feasible to pay off it’s just bad for everyone including corporate profits. Those consumers will and have moved on but I’ll tell you, they always remember who screwed them as...

Ice fishing this week, only 8-9” in the spot we were in. Normally a good 18” by this time of year.

We need to be reminded $$$

I am not against anyone making good profit margins but I agree, the earnings reports on some of these mfg’s are crazy. Covid is gone, supply chains are back, gas is down, diesel continues to be an issue but believe we are being gouged.

We need to be reminded $$$

The future is disturbing, especially with US consumers carrying 1 trillion in credit card debt at 20.7% interest rates. They have to use credit to buy overpriced goods, are manufacturers taking unreasonable profits?

Still "might" get a week of riding in 🤞

Bob, now’s the time to get your repairs done, you should be good by summer. I remember you talking about your new grandson when we met for drinks, my daughters due date is 4/17. Good luck!

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

When you think about it, in 10 days it will be 2/15, trails typically shut down on 3/15. It doesn’t look good at this point for any snowmobiling up here this season. No storms or snow in the 10 day. I honestly can’t remember the last time it snowed?

Still "might" get a week of riding in 🤞

Not much for Northern Wisconsin. Going to get colder next week but don't see anything that says big storms on the way which is what we would need to get the trails open.
