    Canada Fishing is Back

Beautiful picture! and walleyes on the ice......We are panfishing down here in Vilas County and still have 2ft+ of ice. I looked at my records for 2021 and ice out was 4/7/21 last year and piers were in the next day, temp was 72 that day. Oh well........going to be late ice out this year.

I would like to think that ice may go out by the end of the month but there is up to 3 ft of ice on some of the lakes on our chain still and they are all still snow covered which just insulates them from any melting. we fished a smaller lake on Monday and there was still 2ft of ice on it...

We recieved 1" in MW overnight. For the week we have had about 3", one inch every night for the last 3 days. Still 12" of snow on the ground and the lakes have nice snowcover which will probably keep them frozen until May. Where is that Global warming when you need it?

    Eagle River chain

Most of the pontoon boats are 24' these days so you should be fine either way. Not going to say that you won't get the look though. Have fun, there is nothing like cruising on a chain of lakes.

    How I Spent My Tuesday

Thank you for your service. I feel for LEO's today as there is just no respect anymore. I was brought up to respect the law and we brought up our daughter to do the same. Hope more parents can actually start instilling that in their kids, world would definitely be a better place for all.

First time I snowblowed spending a lot of time looking up so A tree or limb wouldn’t take me out. Took my wife to work and and good size pine limb fell on the back of the truck as we were heading into MW. Happy Spring!

Never ridden the BH's but have visited in March once before. It certainly is a beautiful area, they can get late season storms.

How was your riding season ?

Old Abe, I didn't get as many as one might think. Just over 700 miles for the two months that I had it and I'm OK with that. As I get older a 75-100 miles day is just fine with me now. I'm still traveling a little for work so I don't ride every week. We used to always try and do 200 miles a day...

How was your riding season ?

I entered the season with out even having a sled and I live in Vilas County, go figure. I was set to sit out the season because sleds were priced way over what I wanted to pay for the right one. As luck would have it I lucked into buying a nice 2017 at a great price around January 15th and spent...

Vilas County Trails close at 8am on Friday, March 18

We had ice out a few years ago in mid May but the last 2 years have been right around April 18 according to my records. Had snow until after Memorial day at the end of the driveway where the plow stacked it up pretty high one year. Spring is my least favorite season even when we lived in...

Vilas County Trails close at 8am on Friday, March 18

Yep, we will have a lot of cold damp weather now until it gets nice out, somtime in June like you said. Right now, I am ready for the snow to melt as we are in the inbetween which does not look very good right now, dirty snowbanks, frozen rutty roads in the morning and slushy in the afternoon...
