From what I saw yesterday on my ride to Rhinelander I can pretty much guarantee that the trails we be opening for the week between Christmas and new year’s. They will probably be thin but they didn’t look horrible.

Exactly, I can ride from my house to Presque Isle without touching a trail if there is some snow on a few roads but 90% of ride is unplowed forest roads and old 2 tracks.

There not in Boulder there over in Minocqua so I doubt it was them, but I have heard they have made some very interesting deals in that area regarding getting land usage changed.

UP thunder riders have been out reclearing the trails sense Sunday and yesterday (Tuesday) did get the groomers out to pan and pack trails down. Some parts pretty good others not so much, definitely need snow and trails in our area will start to shape up.

You are correct that new owners closed there land to sleds, but do you know why the trail was rerouted onto the ski hill land in the first place? Was that also because land owners also decided they didn’t like snowmobilers anymore either? Maybe or it could also be trail idiots couldn’t follow...
