    My sons new sled

So my son saved me some money and bought himself a sled. Now he gets to maintain it and pay for parts. Found a good deal on a 2020 850 SKS 155”with 1400 miles. . He wanted a 146” track but was having trouble finding one for a reasonable price. Hopefully I’m done digging his butt out after this...

    Last one done

My son had his abbreviated HS graduation last night. Each kid walked across the stage with only his parents in the auditorium while they videotaped it. Strange and unfortunate finish to his senior year but very proud of him . Felt bad for him and his friends. On to bigger things now!

Scott Spark 945 Also have a Advocate Watchman Fat Bike for winter riding. Can't find a picture of it. And two Polaris Sportsman ATV's but I spend a lot more time on the bikes than the wheelers.

    Last ride (maybe)

Took a quick trip up to the cabin yesterday to sneak in one final ride. Got about 60 miles in. Beautiful weather, about 55 and sunny. This is the latest I’ve ever really gotten out for a real ride. First weekend in December til the last weekend in April.

    North shore 3/22

Decided to practice some social distancing and headed up to the cabin for maybe the last weekend of riding, masks, googles, gloves! Tons of snow still and trails were great in the morning, little whooped up late Saturday night when we got back on them but good. The Finland and silver bay clubs...

    North shore 2/1

My wife, son, and I got up to the cabin this weekend for some riding. Rode mostly trails on Saturday and they were all very good. Sunday my son and I got out into the back country and while the snow was a bit ore set up we still managed to get stuck a time or two! Nearest thing we saw though was...

    North shore riding

Got up to the cabin near Finland yesterday with my son and a friend of his. Wow was it deep. Areas we were stuck in it was mid chest deep, roughly 56-60". Spent about 1 1/2 hrs trying to get out of the last couple stucks. Glad I had two 17 yr old strong kids with to help dig out sleds! Sorry...

    Repair question

Got to the cabin this weekend and pulled the sled out of the truck and tipped on side to replace carbides and discovered this. No idea when it happened, sometime last year, but I'm wondering if anybody has ever taken on the job of replacing these on their own. Sled is fully insured so I can get...

    engine swap question

All, Last spring I put a 2011 Polaris 600 engine into my sons 2010 600. My son has been riding it the last couple of days and it saying it doesn't idle sometimes, will just quit, and he has to hold the throttle open to start it. I didn't change ECU or anything. Does anybody know if the ECU would...

    sportsman 500 electrical issue

I have a 2013 Sportsman 500 that I was adding handwarmers to. Got them all wired in, used the power and ground connected to the 12 volt auxilary plug as my power source. Hooked the wiring up to the switch before i actually drilled the hole and mounted the switch to make sure it worked...

one down, one to go (off to college)

Got my daughter moved off to college over Labor Day weekend. She's going to UW Madison, Go Bucky, and is taking a hybrid major of Math/Physics/Engineering. Way out of my league! It was tough leaving her behind but she's going to conquer the world.

    Blown engine update

So you can’t see much but there’s an injector in there gone plus a crack/hole in the crank and then you can see the missing chunk of the cylinder wall. Lots of flakes of aluminum in that side when I pulled the jug off.

    Blown engine update

As I tore into the old 2010 600RMK engine after it blew up it was obvious it needed more than a new top end. Had a chunk of cylinder wall broken off that got ground up in the crank, took out an injector and punched a hole in the bottom of the crankcase. Started pricing out all the parts I was...

    Miles......

I don't know that I have any desire to put on those kind of miles anymore. I do enjoy blasting down the trails when they are nice but if there's deep snow I'd rather put on 75 miles that day with a bunch of stucks. Not gonna find these on the groomed trails. It was very deep up there last...
