    Florence/Florence County, WI

Well, my first day out was a last minute decision and so I hadn't moved my stuff over to the Mach yet. I decided to take out the old sled (2012 Apex XTX) on the first day. That's when I headed over to tipler, down to Goodman then back up to Spread Eagle to the chuckwagon. Went out yesterday...

I'm here now. I've put on over 250 miles in the last two days and can say the Florence trails should provide some fun for you. IF you need any further assistance feel free to PM me and I can try and help you out.

We headed north up trail 5 today and then east to felch and encountered about 8 people on horseback! I've never seen that before. We stopped and shut off the engines since one of the horses was freaked out by the sleds. They were nice people and thanked us for helping out. Accident waiting to...

I didn’t see one ATV/UTV all day. Never even saw tracks from one. Just hundreds of sleds. I think the smallest group I saw was mine at 3 sleds.

Rode 133 miles on the Florence trails and some in the dungood riders trails. I will say I was pleasantly surprised overall but this area needs some snow. Left Spread Eagle on 2 west. Florence section was great. Compliments to the Blue Ox club on ALL of their trails today. Once we crossed into...

Based on what you said I would stop at the Chuckwagon to eat which is just a few miles east of Fisher lake. They may have the local trail maps there or the BP in Florence should have them too. Either way get a map and just stick to the local trails in Florence. They are exactly what you...

I have a place in Florence and I'm heading up tomorrow. I have not been on the trails this year but will be able to check them out tomorrow evening. I can reply then with a quick report. As others have said you can go north, south, east and west. Although south is sometimes limited to lower snow...

    No Grooming Baraga Club

I love the pipeline and is one of our regular routes. Disappointed to hear about those conditions just ride. I will be that way in two weeks so I hope the club gets it together soon.

    Where's all the sleds

I suggested that yesterday and my post was deleted...I'm sure for some of my comments within the same post.. Apparently I wasn't the only one whose posts were deleted but thought for sure it should be over there instead of here. Maybe it's because the original topic wasn't something that should...

Groomer or Grooming issue north of Mosquito

NO NO NO...no more taxes, rules etc that the gubmint has to manage. They still don't know how to plow roads when they know a storm is coming!

Just noticed there aren't any thumbs down...Why? Nice way of saying you don't agree without having to type it out :)

Groomer or Grooming issue north of Mosquito

I agree with what you said, not to say the comments on long tracks aren't true but if you respect a fresh groom even with long tracks the trails will be fine. Limiting a particular size sled might not be the way to go. Consider when all we had was 121" tracks. Would crossover been banned back...

Locked gates and no grooming north of Mohawk

Forgive me for not being educated in this subject but does Michigan have a different system to fund clubs than Wisconsin? Different state I get it but is the way clubs get funding similar?

Locked gates and no grooming north of Mohawk

I don't have the answers but we snowmobilers need to figure out a better way to manage this problem before it's too late. I realize there have been many dedicated smart individuals leading the system (all the clubs) in the past and I'm not taking anything away from their leadership, but maybe...
