I guess these clowns weren't complaining when the registration period went to 3 years from 2 for the same price.

Off trail riding on the local news

Sorry Tim but you are mistaken. Assuming it is Wisconsin, you are generally not responsible if that person is recreating on your property, trail or no trail and trespassing or not trespassing. See my post #134 and Google "WI Berry Picking Law" for details. BTW, there is no lease agreement. It...

Off trail riding on the local news

Wisconsin has a statute commonly referred to as the "berry picking law". A landownwer cannot be held liable for injury when someone is recreating on their land. They can be sued but it will not win. The insurance that clubs carry is cheap because insurance companies realize there not much at...

Off trail riding on the local news

After all our discussions about off trail riding and how to stop it, one thing we can agree about is that the violators probably don't read John Dee forums and we are just preaching to the choir. Last night on the Rhinelander news station, they did a story on the subject which is much more...

    Advice on Buying Snowmobile Lift

When I get nervous about the sled falling off, I use short pieces of rope to tie the running boards to the lift. Not going anywhere.

    ISO…2002 Polaris 120 ignition coil

Are you sure the switches are plugged in? They need to provide a ground to stop the engine. The easiest way to steal a snowmobile is unplug the ignition switch. Then it will run all the time, like yours.

    ISO…2002 Polaris 120 ignition coil

There is no "ignition control" other than the kill switch and the ignition (key) switch, assuming that sled has both. Either one of the switches is permanently open, or open ground, or open wire in the circuit.

I don't see how a faulty coil could cause those symptoms.

    Skyview Lodge closed??

I agree with WD but draw the line with wake boats. I nearly got swamped by one in my 20' deck boat. Can't imagine being in a smaller fishing boat. Just plain dangerous.

Anybody gearing up for the opener?

Vilas opens (and closes) as a county when all the clubs have finished trail prep and the county has done their inspections. Then it pretty much depends on snow cover and not usually before 12/15. Best to check the Travel Wisconsin site which will have it posted as soon as it happens...

Trail 2 - Losing a section due to change of ownership

Yeah, it seems anybody who Snobuilder doesn't agree with gets categorized as a leftest / liberal. He did it with me once and I've been a republican forever. Consider the source and move forward!
