20 degrees and .25 of fluffy snow this morning. I thought it was supposed to get cold next week but if you look at the long range until the end of the month it’s 30’s to 40 for up here with some 20’s but not many. I drove down a fire road yesterday and it had a few inches of snow but what I...
Thanks Skiroule, coming from you that is a nice compliment. I feel good about where I am but still lots of things to do. Will keep updating throughout 2024 but the heavy lifting is done except for siding in the Spring.
At this point the businesses have made their adjustments and paired back their hours, laid off people. A lot of them will start to think pretty hard about how long they want to stay open. Most are closed starting 4/1. Not looking very promising but the ground is frozen and now the lakes are...
Happy Super Bow! Sunday!, Not much else going on up here with the dismal winter tat we have had so far this season. Moving along getting things organized in the garage. Its nice to have a place to work inside in the winter that is heated, was able to change the oil in both vehicles and go...
Ventured out around 4pm for the late bite yesterday, warm but really breezy. Planned to fish until 6pm as it seems they were biting right around 5pm. Two Northerns and a largemouth bass, all went back into the lake. Best part was enjoying a cold beer around 5pm with my buddy and watching this!
Going to take a lot to get things up and run up here, it was 51 yesterday, 42 today with just a dusting of snow on the ground. More like mud season right now.
I only use Marine Stabil. The regulator Stabil is ok if you are turning over gas regularly but then why would you need it. If you still have some after a year or so look at it, you’ll see what I mean.
I should have noted as far as pricing being lowered I’m referring to commodities like food which does go up and down. I realize that other prices such as parts for cars, etc. may never go down once they have been raised.
Darren, being a business owner myself I understand what you are saying. If, as they say inflation has dropped into the 3% range then prices for groceries should have drop back as well. Wouldn’t that make sense? That is one area where the mfgs are taking profits I believe. I get it that prices...
All for capitalism but when people have to charge their groceries on a credit card and run up a balance that cannot be feasible to pay off it’s just bad for everyone including corporate profits. Those consumers will and have moved on but I’ll tell you, they always remember who screwed them as...
I am not against anyone making good profit margins but I agree, the earnings reports on some of these mfg’s are crazy. Covid is gone, supply chains are back, gas is down, diesel continues to be an issue but believe we are being gouged.
