I have an 05 800 Polaris Switchback (w/ power valves). I have a "noise" coming from the stator side that sounds like a loose metal on metal knock/clack. Motor was rebuilt 300 miles ago with a rebuilt crank. Any body got any ideas? Compression is 115 lbs in each cylinder.

This is for a buddy. Got a 05 polaris 800 switchback. DET light comes on above 7000 rpm. It flashes only above 7000 rpm or at around 65 mph. He backs off down to 6500 rpm then it shuts off. Sled runs strong all the way to the top end w/ no problems. The manual says bad fuel, wrong jet size...

Well, here's the deal. I purchased this sled this fall. It's an 07 polaris switchback 600 cfi. It came with a slp pipe and silencer on it. I installed the slp big horn air intake, and had the dealer replace the fuel filter, check the oiler cable and pump setting and install V Force 3 reeds...

Mine is 176 miles in one day. the pic below was for a 2 day run from rice lake to superior and back in the march thaw.
