I see 2014 Polaris IQR's have gone to a 128"track like AC race sleds in 13. Does anybody know if the consumer sleds from either will go the same way as an option in the future?

Someone made a comment a couple weeks ago regarding today's 121s. We now have what 14" of travel used to have like 8" both were 121s today's 121s have a lot smaller footprint being up taller. I think its time for 128 to be the standard 144ish standard x-over

128 x13.5 has been standard issue from 03 up on cat trail sleds and 128 x15 from 07 up not just race sleds

I brought this up 2-3 years ago trending away from 121 to 128 & longer & got my ample butt handed to me on this website.lol I was like "geez guys already happening OEMs implementing not me" "& nothing to do with 4s vs 2s". 128 better floatation, hook up, weight distribution, bump bridging no brainer to me but others not so much.lol:)

You think you'd even notice the difference between a 128" and an 121"? In theory it does makes more sense to put more track on the ground to make up for what you've lost from longer travel suspensions.

Oh for sure 128 going to bridge & hook up much better than 121 even for 600s move up to 800 HP 150 ish & up & I would not go less than 136 just not going to get the power to the ground unless stud the heck out of 121 & studs bad for everything but do give you much needed traction.

Cat has had 128" tracks since 07 (on most models)...Yamaha went to a 128 on the Apex in 2011....it makes a huge difference in traction, and you do get more bridging of the bumps...I believe you will see more and more models at 128 in the future...the new Viper's are 128, 137, and 144.
