first 4stk to take on snowking hill??/? is it the rider? hate to say this but looks like weight might be a factor yet.......on the right track but not there yet

Sounds to me like he had a mechanical issue or something.

Indy, you make me laugh, do you really think it is that easy to go in a straight line up that hill, with all those trenches? Maybe next year if you make it to the JD ride in, we'll take you out in da woods, to some nice hills, and see how you do going up, after a few of us put some nice trenches in first. LOL. :D

I will stretch it out 163" 2.4" paddles and 10 lbs of boost. Then we'll see who's talking... :)

Good things

I've been reading good things about the new Cat, although they hadn't been able to ride one, and the last Sled Head 24/7 was a show on the 2012's, and they loved them also. They were able to ride them. They did rate the Pro RMK 800 as the unaminous choice of Mountain Sled of the year and couldn't say enough about it. They rated the Cat 1100 Turbo crossover the best in it's class. If you missed that episode, it was pretty good.

I am surprised that a majority of the M's are with 4 strokes this year and 30 out of 43 models from Cat are 4 strokes.

I would still like someone to explain to me why on earth they would get rid of the 600? The #1 selling size sled? Anybody see the ripsaw II on the new yamis? I also read that polaris has "changes" to the 600 but they won't tell us what they are?

I'll give you a hint: it's 3 letters starting with E

Anyway, that 1100 will do just fine on the trails and the 600 probably isn't the top seller in the mountains, so they'll probably do ok, at least until the emissions are figured out.

We gave up on the 600 motors before Cat did because they used more gas and oil than the bigger 800 mills.

Ding Ding Ding! We have the answer.:D

Not sure if the 600 could have been anywhere close to the top seller for Cat in the last few years. It was not even offered in all chassis configurations.

I'm hoping the 4 stroke motors do work for riding. It would give us one less thing to worry about on the long hauls. More room for garden tools without the gallons of oil.;)

It has been, overall for all 3 brands, it's been the top selling size motor, although, it has been continuously dropping for the past couple years. It probably won't be anymore after this next year.

Do you have sales numbers from somewhere? I'm interested in these sort of things.
