2013 Ski Doo's unveiled

i think they just got uglier...they claim "The sled’s side panels have been curved or as Ski-Doo calls it —powderdynamically shaped. The idea is simple enough. The edges have been rounded to get the sled in a roll position for “boating” through the powder." whatever they do i hope it works for skidoo riders sake...IMO they are horrible to side hill and carve...2 buddies have them and they are sick of trying to "set up" the sled for better deep snow handling. They are ready to sell and buy Polaris 144 or 155s since mine was near perfect out of the box

I love all the R&D and new tech and hate all the R&D and new tech because it is bringing the cost to play over well 10g.cant expect much change from any of the oem not exactly a sellers market for toys and more so after this season show rooms will be full of new non current again.

fast becoming a rich mans sport...ive had 4 sleds in 3 seasons but now i think im gonna stick with what i got for awhile since they keep getting more expensive

You have to give Ski Doo credit though, they have changed the sport for the better. I'm sure it's hard to change something that has been so successful for them! Competition is a good thing.

Does anyone know when the other OEM's are releasing their full lineups?

HUH?? Not sure what your looking at Indy, it looks like the same lights they've been running since '08 from what I see. More like Cat's 012 lights was a copy "cat".
Look at a side picture of the sled, lights look identical to the Cats from the side. They are NEW lights, they are not the same...

still don't really see it. maybe from the side a little but not really. considering cat copied the doo on the look of their 012's i guess your kinda splitting hairs here.

With the wider panels it looks much more like the 4 stroke chassis now, which I always liked better. I could never get used to the look of the sled before, especially from a side view. It reminded me of a grasshopper for some reason. I also like the locking system for gas cans etc. on the top of the back tunnel.

No photo shop at work. Saw that on their site. Thats as ugly as some of the wraps I've seen out there. The snow deflector on the wind shield of the summit is a pretty cool idea.

well James Bond rode doo. Suspect it would go well with plaid. Indy and photoshop at work???

especially when you could order that track on the 09 model. I did ride the 2013 sled and there are 2 at Pats now. We rode em in the back country and that sled is a totally different machine with that track on it. I liked it so much I would buy one but cannot afford one now. I would struggle in the deep because of the weight of the sled but man is it nice to have such a reliable sled I don't have to worry about blowing up if it's to cold or gas is not perfect, nice to have the reverse and e start

You are right Lenny the Yams are very reliable seems that is all Yam is doing is tweaking & refining their platforms so much so not much chance of a major break down. I guess this is good from that view point Yams will last for 10-20K miles or more with no real problems I know I have 8000 miles on mine & never let me down. All that said I would like Yam to trim weight & see an all new 4s platform around 145ish HP running on regular gas a hybrid between Nytro & Apex at no more than $10K.:)

Poop green???? Wow. Indy is that military issue?
Some of their ideas for snowcheck wraps are pretty "different" to say the least. I've always liked their graphics on the more standard sleds, don't seem to change a whole yet year to year but a very classy design. Then BAM this thing comes along LOL
