Any pros or cons on this new Polaris sled and what would you add if anything to this model. Picking up my new 800 switchback pro ses Friday and heading to the UP on Sunday. Any recommended setups would be appreciated.

I was reading in a forum where this guy kept track of all his wear and tear measurements and gas and oil consumption and found he used a quart of oil every 100 miles for the first 300 to 400 miles and then after that was only using 3/4 of a quart per 100. I would think you should use about the same amount wether you have 200 miles or 2000. any thoughts?

Yes there is a break in mode on these sleds. The ecu tells the oil pump to pump extra oil for i believe the first 400 miles but dont quote me. Etecs also do the same. Those oil usage amounts sound really good too, previous 800s were pushing 200 if not more miles per quart.

My wife has around 500 miles on hers now. The oil mileage has gone up slightly. The fuel mileage is much better then the previous 800’s. She has not had any of the problems that has been reported on HCS. We do have an issue with the check engine light coming on when she holds it at a steady speed for a distance. So Far the verdict is out on how it handles for her. She was complaining that it was darting a bit and a little hard to steer. I have not spent any time adjusting the suspension yet, we temporally misplaced the owners Manuel.

The new 800 HO has an 18 hour break in period, the 600 is 6 hours. My 2015 rides and handles much better than my 2012. No comparison.
