I received a call from my cat dealer this morning asking me to bring in my new zero miles 2016 zr7000 to have the entire clutch replace that's been recalled......check with you're dealer to make sure.......think snow !!

Cat spends time designing a new clutch with TEAM when they could just reach across the aisle and grab a Yamaha set up.....must be Cat Pride, eh?...only took a couple miles of customer R&D to show that they failed again.

I hear they are calling it a "calibration" issue on the 7000's, must be fairly significant if it requires a new clutch. Sometimes these things become more complicated than they should be by corporate red tape or are more complex than they seem for us consumers, could also simply be $ thing for cat based on volume of clutches...etc Anyway, I wouldn't give up on the Team clutches, I'm sure they will also see refinement as time goes on. Mountain guys are chatting about an issue over on Snowest, but it doesn't seem to be major; like we say with all the MFG's, How the heck don't they catch this stuff in the R&D process? Hopefully those impacted by this can get them fixed before the snow piles up, I guess that's one positive on a late start this season.

All MFG's have their issues, glad to see it's being addressed for the 7000 series owners.

When Cat went with their own clutch set up I was like.... WHY? ...Yamaha clutch set up best in biz for 4s engines. Then I figured Cat must have a better mousetrap but guess not. Has to be pride on this one.

I don't like seeing this anymore than the fact that my brandy new Pol needed a band aid on a steering part. I want all 4 mannies to stick around. Competition is great for us buyers.

So now it's Polaris' fault? LMAO. I've seen it all now. This is an Obama tactic. Deflect.

And who says that this is the final fix? Boy there's lots of miles on these new sleds aren't there? (stirring the pot)

I love Cats, and who doesn't, given they are No. 1 in sales...how many years running? LOL

A lot of people unfortunately don't see it that way.

Polaris doesn’t own Team. Cat has been getting some of their side by side Transmissions from Team as well

Just off the phone with Doo dealer, and on a 25 minute call, we spent 5-6 minutes talking about Cat (crp) quality. Both from experience never to be repeated.

Fascinating, please tell us more about this conversation the two of you had. What did you chat about the rest of the call.

Probably just complaining about Wisconsin trail permit pricing.

Really - can you believe a dealer would tell you the competition's quality isn't good?

Yea, Doo quality, lol. Two sets of pistons and rings in my 05 renegade, with less than 6000 miles on it. Quality right there I tell ya! I've owned all 4 brands, there all over priced junk!
