Looking at the trail or crossover market I'm surprised at the skid/track set-ups. The trail ZR max's out at 137/1.25, then the Xtech is a 137/1.5, the high country is a 141/2.25 and the xtour is a 146/1.25. I'm surprised they don't have a 141 with the 1.5, and don't understand the 146 with only a 1.25. I've been thinking maybe this year or next but would want a 1.5 for sure, and not sure I'd go less than a 141. 2015 seemed to have more length/lug combinations. I know you can always do a new take off, but I'm already dropping a chunk of change who wants to put more into it for swapping a track?
At $16,300 for the top of the line, and over $10K for something I would want. They are out of my price range. Looks like Vintage sleds for me for the rest of my life. I'm OK with that.

Hello,
I don't really mind the price creep as a new 600 Etec Renegade is at exactly 10k (price before tax and reg) for my 2016 pre-order. What kills me is the depreciation since I buy a new sled every year. What causes depreciation in a sled; the lack of interest of someone else to buy my one year old sled, poor relibaility, low performance in suspension and/or motor etc. I used to buy only Cat up to 2004 and have moved on because Cat seems underfunded in tech and the sleds do not hold value. I had three callers all offering 9k in early February on my last 2015 Renegade 600 E-tec. How can I go wrong? I think about trying another brand as they look appealing (especially a Viper) but go back to Doo for the resale value.

I'm curious about how you do this without losing your shirt - looks like you buy current year sleds as opposed to left-overs and then sell sort of mid to late season (mid-Feb). When do you typically buy - Fall or Spring order?
