A 340 fan can beat a turbo in 300 feet if the turbo is spinning and the 340 applied.

All things being equal it's laughable a 600 will run with the 850 or any 800 for that matter.

Assault is my first choice, just gotta find one in my price range.... or I need to increase my price range! I have budgeted to spend around $9,000 this year for a sled. In that range I put myself at a non current or a low mile sled, which I am fine with. Kip had a used Assault a little above that earlier this fall and I didn't jump on it and it was sold. I am still mad at myself for that. I agree that the G4 is the way to go and I just eliminated the 2016 X. I love my Cat and like ezra said I do have plenty of add ons that would work with the 17 sled. Ill just keep looking, if nothing comes up I'll ride the one I have.

truth is prob best to run what you have unless willing to just give it away .you will just be insulted with the offers that come in for your old one. you know what you have you know if you are comfortable it will keep going . if keeping as a guest/back up diff story
I tossed around the idea of a new one but my 14M only has like 1700 on it and a pile of parts . just not worth sending it out the door for 6 or less Ill run it till its wrecked

What's up with the "no 15's" comment?.....don't be disparaging the 2015's....ain't no call for that!

gee i dont know..only both of mine blew up along with along with everybody elses..then again any 800 before 16..hows that

800 HO was introed along with the AXYS chassis in M.Y. 2015. I haven't heard of many "blow-ups" since the revised 800 came out....same engine as yur 2016 and beyond, bro. 8000 miles and counting on my '15.:encouragement:

I think you need to spend a little time riding in Ontario then you would know what I meant.

I like the ride from Munising to Paradise on my 600 Renegade where I drive past Grand Marais, MI where everyone else has to stop for gas.

Not all '15s have the 800HO.

A cutaway shows the three-stage variable exhaust for the new Polaris 800 H.O. engine.
Some 2015 Polaris snowmobiles will feature the all-new 800 H.O. engine that uses interesting and new technology to make it more powerful, more fun and more reliable. For the full scoop about how the new engine was developed, check out the October 2014 issue of Snow Goer

Pro s and Pro x Rush AXYS chassis got the 800 HO. 2016 gave it to the RMK and 2017 to the Assault.
p-dan refered to his sleds. He rides a pro s I do believe. I know Dan had pre 2015 800 diarrhea and almost swore off Poo....maybe he was referring the Assault to the OP in his post. If so I stand corrected.

I loved the G4 platform, but for almost $5000 less I got into a new 17xm. There are a ton of leftover sleds that can be found with killer rebates and discounts. They will want to push them out the door by the new year or they could loose some of the extra warranty thats available as well as value. Some new '17 sleds are selling less than used.

and there flooring is running out the holdbacks are running out . as soon as it looks like they will have to start paying interest on that inventory it gets cheep quick .
Textron has been doing a very aggressive job clearing old inventory this yr .
it will be a good thing for all used sled prices in the longer run

Well, after a ton of thought and getting my F800 sold I finally picked up a new sled. I decided to go with the 2017 Polaris Assault. It''s all stock, the 1.35 track, the pearl black and ready to go. Heading to Mass City tomorrow, can't wait to get on this sled!
