Dan- I hate, hate, hate when it comes down to a kick. I get that its his job and he should've made it. But he outscored the entire offense that day so they shouldn't blame him. Why didn't the vaulted best QB ever to play and ever to play the game just score touchdowns all day? Why did they need to kick a field goal at all?

I told Vikings fan the same thing when Favre went there. I told them he will break your heart and they just laughed at me when they went farther in the playoffs. Favre did a Favre thing and I just looked at them and said, told you. Now you know how it feels.

Just read preview of NFC North for next season. Bears are projected to lose some pieces because of salary cap. Vikes tight against cap. Pack is going to have money to spend. So is Detroit. Interestingly enough all have kicking woes. Bears picked to win division again. If not for Rodgers Pack would be in total rebuild. Vikes window getting smaller. Detroit doesn't even have a room with a window. They are in a Menard's tin shed.

The Patriots are a machine.
BB greatest coach in any sport in any generation period. No debate. End of story.
Brady is so clutch it's comical.

Anyone and they're grandma knew when they won the coin flip in OT game was over.
NFL has a serious officiating problem, some of them calls in both games were criminal.
That being said the NFL is undefeated. They win on controversy, they win on stars, they win on new blood, they win on dynasties, they always win, they're the house.

One more thing, the NFL needs to change this OT rule. Chief's play 17 games go to OT in AFC championship game and lost a coin flip and can't posses the ball in OT, yet if they held the Pats to 3 points they would get the ball? Makes no sense.

Changes for the Bears by talking heads are new fleet of catch and run running backs are a priority and Cody Parkey will be released. I agree with catch and run running backs keep Howard for pounding and grinding out the clock in Q4. Releasing Parkey Idk... won’t miss him much if a better kicker is signed. Some think Parkey is a special teams distraction erodes their confidence to get the job done. We shall see what happens. Bears need to take the next step in win now seasons to get to the SB.

Agree whitedust on Parky leaving. It's the only way he gets a chance to regroup, and show he can do it. I too like catch, and run backs. Roger Craig comes to mind as he was a local kid, with very good hands. Tarik Cohen, and Kamara, are something else after they catch the ball.

Ha might as well. We know how to pick a kicker!! That young guy vikes released after the tie with packers went on to hit every kick. Guy is a stud. But zimmer wasn't having it. I was watching that bears game with PD and it was tough to see him hit the double dong. Then they showed all the other dongs he had that season. Ouch....

I could see it coming as the Eagles called TO! When he kicked the double donger, I noticed right away that the ball seemed to tumble terrible, not knowing why, but knowing tumbling balls generally don't go where they're supposed to. However, a day later I watched the defense just so slightly get a finger on the ball tipping it. Oh well, the defense did their job! And I wish all the best to Parky, where ever it ishe goes, and don't want to see him go thru life with that monkey on his back! The Bears prior kicker, Gould, had a 97% success rate this year, 33, out of 34! And that is not surprising as he was a good kicker always, and still is.

Here’s the problem in a nutshell. Bears improved at every position even kicker over Barth who was terrible. Parkey is much better than Barth but not good enough to kick for a SB contender and blew the playoff game. Yeah defense laid a finger on the ball but more elevation from the kicker was needed. I don’t think Parkey is terrible Barth was terrible but Parkey is a distraction for the entire team and must be released. Hopefully Pace can find a championship kicker releasing Robbie Gould was a HUGE mistake he knew how to kick in Soldier Field. Pace should make nice nice with Robbie and sign him since in win now mode.

I totally agree whitedust! USA today is with you also! I have never figured out why they dumped, or should I say didn't work to be able to retain Robbie? They can't blame it on a money issue anymore, can they? He would have made that problem nonexistent very easily imo. One look at his record, FGA/FGM, and he can kick no matter what stadium he's at!

Pace loaded up the Bears team with RB and WRs via draft, FA and rookie invitations to try and make the team. Looks like speed is the theme for Nagy. It will be interesting who makes this team some expensive FAs maybe traded for cap space if unproductive. Lots of competition for sure.
