Pace loaded up the Bears team with RB and WRs via draft, FA and rookie invitations to try and make the team. Looks like speed is the theme for Nagy. It will be interesting who makes this team some expensive FAs maybe traded for cap space if unproductive. Lots of competition for sure.

It appears that Nagy and Pace may be of the same mold/chemistry?

The tables turned drastically in one season as the Bears now have a more veteran org than my Packers.....lol ....the king is dead, long live the king!

Bears team may or may not be younger than the pack as an entire team probably about the same no way to know until you have a final roster. Problem with Rooks is you never know how productive they will be in a16 game season. Pace imo will play a rookie if he is productive and will trade a veteran if too expensive and slipping in skill set. Imo a rookie RB can light it up if any good a WR too if power and speed is impressive. Other positions players need time to learn the system to be in the right place at the right time.

I was more referring to team management.

Imo team management doesn’t have age limits young or old on creativity that is a personal trait. Fangio molded the Bears D into number 1 over the years and he is one of the oldest head coaches in the league now. As far as team building best way is draft and FAs and Pack is now signing FAs. How those FA signings workout is anybody’s guess just have to see same as draft picks.

12-4 is going to be tuff to repeat with a very difficult schedule but Mitch has a bunch of new toys. Can the Bears take the next step on offense is the question? The D will be fine and Chuck likes to blitz when the game is on the line. If Mitch can score TDS the Bears will be a contender.

i used the term "veteran"....not young or old as much as new personnel overall..... change is good....Pack was due....even Wonderbread has a shelf life.

I agree with all that.

Robbie Gould has been pretty ballsey for a waiver kicker to not sign with SF and he may not be the answer to the Bears kicking woes. As much as I like Robbie he kinda stunk right before Fox and Pace released him. Solider Field is not an easy place to kick with swirling winds and cold temps. I remember one game when the wind was blowing so hard the kicking game was useless and the ball would only travel 20 to 30 yards against the wind. Hopefully one of these kickers will separate from the pack or the Bears will be kicker hamstrung again.

I agree whitedust. San Fran can do a whole lot worse than Robby. Over the years in the NFL, Robby's record, and stats are up at the top when the winds of Soldier Field are considered.

Pace cut a deal with Oakland for a 7th round next year if the kicker makes the team. The Oakland kicker was drafted last year and was injured never played in a NFL game but he does have a strong leg made an 83 yarder. Bears cut a few kicker try outs so what not add the new guy to the mix. It is becoming quite an interesting saga. Lol

For sure! It's those last year bad kick memories! And now add to it what appears that gremlin is still present?
