Thanks for the info attakman. 20 to 21 sounds great for me, as I had been told barely any difference from the 900NA, unless you're on the flipper, gas hard. I do remember, and perhaps you do too, back in the year when the first 900T came out, there was a fellow closely watched in Canada, that ran close to 23K total miles on it in that one year. As I remember on his final report of his finished excursion, the big majority of his miles were put on using Reg grade gas? He didn't seem concerned as many times he had no choice on what was available for fuel. I followed him as many did on DooTalk.
I know guys that have done it with four stroke turbos, and didn't notice any difference at all...so you bring up a good point...I think it's worse to run 87 in an etec, you are more likely to have an issue. The old 900s all ran 87, as did my 1200,...the only difference I know of was a bump in HP for the 900 when the gen 4 came out.....and of course the turbo was 91 octane from day one....but it may not make as big of a difference for these 4 strokes...i'll have to do some digging as to the reason why ...I'm sure it's something with how the ignitions are setup..but you'd think with all this tech they could sense lower octane fuel and adjust accordingly/automatically....NO?

Anyone have a chance to ride the turbo 130 and see if the throttle is any better? Previous models had such a mushy throttle and don't have the instant feel that my Viper has or what a 1200 had. The fact I can just blip the throttle and get torque instantly is what would push me to a 900r. But the price and horsepower of the 130 is honestly more in line for interesting me.
Seems as if some have "mushy" throttle, some don't? My 900 when in "Sport" mode is, and has always been instant hard accelleration, spot on, no hesitation, not mushy one I otta.

Same here, loads of torque in Sport. Eco Mode is nice for loading so it doesn't fire you over the bars.
Yup, X2 gary! My wife Kathe actually likes the "Standard" mode due to the very hard, and fast accelerating "Sport"mode. "Eco" mode for loading, unloading, kids and getting unstuck.

They definitely sold some but it seems like every dealer I look at has a couple of boosts for sale. Maybe they didn't sell near as many as anticipated 🤷
Perhaps fuji can relate, and add to this? With this storm, he my very well need a additional sled this season!

I only found one review of the turbo 130...and it was in supertrax, on a grand touring...and they were praising the itc as finally being calibrated, so you didn't have the dreaded "throttle lag"...their mpg numbers match what I was saying as well...just a titch off the 900, and better than the 1200

They sold a lot of them and the ones you see at dealers now are people who backed out because it showed up late.

The best feature on the Polaris gauge is the group ride feature. You can always see the location of one of your riding buddies. No more turning around to go see if they had a problem. You can see exactly where they are and that they are moving in the right direction. Or if they made a wrong turn you can see that. Its a huge safety feature in my eyes.

A group of us all order Polaris sleds last season. We had one hold out just like you who said he didn't need the fancy gauge. He regretted that decision on the first trip

What year do you consider an old 900? would that be a 2017?

I think from 2018 back (XS, and XP chassis)....they had 900s and 1200s in the 129 chassis (Mxz, Blizzard, Tnt), and the first 900 I rode was a TNT in a 120 (2015)..all Gen 4 Four strokes (2019 and newer) are in the 137 chassis....my 1200 is an MXZX in a 129
All of the pre 2019 (Gen 4) run on 87 octane

......
On the flip side we are probably only a year away or less from seeing discounts on new snowmobiles again, which will negate the price increases…

You are probably right....the market has been too HOT for too long....we are already seeing signs that its slowing a bit...we'll know more once we get past the spring order period....but the old saying.."what goes up, must come down" does apply...it's just a matter of when

Attackman, how has the spring order been in first 48 hours? Just curious if like last year when stuff sold out in first few hours.

Yup, high prices, cure high prices!

I HAD a 2022 Enduro Turbo 130 that I bought from Bryan and his store last winter. No throttle lag in Standard or Sport modes - instant response. MPG was better than my wife's 1200 which is around 15 - 16 but I don't know if I got 20 mpg with it. Loved the engine - the horsepower of the turbo 130 was right in the ballpark as the 1200 but was much quicker. And it had an aggressive exhaust tone - sounded great. Key word here is HAD, since some out-of-control kid blew through a blind corner and t-boned me and totaled my sled last month.

We don't start placing orders until next week, and at this point we don't know what our allocations will be...but interest is high...the number of calls were unreal.

We had such a limited number of these....I never got to ride one....as soon as we got one it was out the door....but it's definately got my interest...kind of bummed that they put it in the Gen 5, but NOT one 130 turbo model comes with a smart ride option for this year....the limited saddle time I have on a smart ride equipped sled showed me that it's the real deal.....should have never rode one...because now it's a must have on any sled I purchase in the future....To me the turbo 130 with smart ride would be the best trail sled on the market. I don't want to have to buy a turbo R (180 HP), or a turbo 850, or even a regular 850 to get smart ride...my two stroke days are over...and I simply don't need all that HP anymore.
If I bought a 24...I probably go with the enduro...but I really dislike the air ride on those, seen lots of issues with the air system on those through the years ....don't want to scare anybody, because the air system works great for those who carry passengers on one plus one seats, or for BIG guys who weigh over 250 lbs..it's easy to adjust for weight....just want to see the air system get replaced with smart ride, and maybe some dual rate springs on the rear shocks for those of us who use the one plus one seats for two passengers.
